Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to try several robot vacuums, but nothing has come close to the iRobot Roomba Combo 10 Max Robot Vacuum and Mop + AutoWash Dock. This unit offers so many features and outperforms all previous units and it also includes a mop feature! As a dog owner, this is a must have for keeping our hardwood and carpets free of hair and dirt on a regular basis. What’s in the box: - iRobot Roomba Combo 10 Max Robot Vacuum and Mop - AutoWash Docking Station - 1 x Extra Microfiber Mopping Pad - 1 x Extra Dirt Disposal Bag - 1 x Extra High-Efficiency Filter - 1 x Extra Edge-Sweeping Brush - Setup: There are extensive instructions included (user manual) that are easy to follow and stickered step-by-step instructions on the vacuum that made the initial setup a breeze. IRobot Roomba has done an amazing job of simplifying the setup process for the non-technical user. Literally there are only a couple of pieces that need to be put together before initial use. The areas being mapped should be accessible to the Combo 10 Max for a successful mapping process. This system uses VSLAM instead of Lidar to map out the spaces requiring cleaning. Once the area is mapped, rooms can be identified, and zones can be setup and customized as desired. There are numerous settings available based on user preferences in the IRobot Roomba app. Cleaning: Vacuuming - The iRobot Roomba Combo 10 Max is the most powerful robot vacuums I have experienced. It has handled every bit of pet hair and dirt that’s been thrown at it! For being such a powerful vacuum, the unit runs very quietly making it unnoticeable as it goes about its work. It will auto-sense heavier dirt and increase power as needed. I found the dual rubber brushes do wonders for picking up pet hair but not getting fowled like similar robots I’ve used in the past. Mopping - The mopping performance far exceeded my expectations. We have a small dog that keeps us on our toes in terms of cleaning the hardwood and tile flooring and it’s now a snap to keep floors clean. Unlike previous robot vacs I’ve used in the past, the Combo 10 Max does not avoid carpeting when mopping, instead it can do both by retracting the mopping head out of the way. AutoWash Dock – The docking station is also a filled with technology that should not be overlooked. It charges the unit, cleans out the gray water and replenished the clean water, dries the mopping pad and empties the vacuum bag. It’s a powerful dock but almost half the size of the dock from a previous model robot. It is easily setup in the corner of our kitchen area that leads into the dining and living rooms. iRobot Home App: The app is really the control center behind the robot and is packed with setting for customizing the vacuum to your home/use. It’s also user-friendly even for the non-technical users out there. There are so many features I’m still working my way through them all. There were software and firmware updates available at setup, they ran for a bit, but it’s always good to have the latest and greatest versions running. The robot's schedule, which rooms to clean, etc. can all be customized through the app. Pros: - Easy to set up, operate and clean - Substantial build quality and design of vacuum and base unit - iRobot Home app is user friendly and packed with features - Cleaning capabilities of the mopping function are outstanding - Very quiet yet powerful vacuuming and mostly self-sufficient - Auto clean features of the docking station make clean up a breeze - Extra cleaning pieces included with initial purchase Cons: - Although the robot is relatively quiet, the docking station operation can get a bit loud Overall: The iRobot Roomba Combo 10 Max Robot Vacuum and Mop is a top-quality product packed with valuable and user-friendly features. It’s probably the smartest “smart” device we own but is a breeze to setup and operate. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a robot vacuum with mopping capabilities.

Key Features Powerful Vacuum and Suction Power The Roomba Combo 10 MAX is equipped with robust vacuuming capabilities that stand out in a crowded market. Its suction power is notably strong, ensuring that it picks up even the smallest particles of dust, debris, and pet hair. Whether it’s your carpet, hardwood, or tile floors, this robot vacuum ensures a thorough clean. The powerful suction is particularly impressive on carpets, where embedded dirt and dust can be challenging for other robot vacuums to handle effectively. The Roomba Combo 10 MAX doesn’t just clean; it deep cleans, making your floors look as good as new. Dry Rug Smart Intelligence One of the standout features of the Roomba Combo 10 MAX is its Dry Rug Smart Intelligence. This feature allows the robot to automatically detect the difference between rugs and hard floors. When the robot encounters a rug, it intuitively adjusts its cleaning mode to avoid wet mopping on the rug, ensuring that it only vacuums the area. This smart feature is a game-changer for homes with mixed flooring, as it eliminates the hassle of manually setting boundaries or worrying about wet rugs. The Roomba Combo 10 MAX takes care of it all, allowing you to enjoy clean floors without any additional effort. Auto Wash Functionality Another remarkable feature of the Roomba Combo 10 MAX is its Auto Wash functionality. After completing a cleaning cycle, the robot returns to its docking station, where it automatically washes and dries the mopping pad. This feature is not only convenient but also ensures that the mop is always clean and ready for the next use. The automatic washing mechanism is thorough, removing dirt and grime from the pad, while the drying function prevents any unpleasant odors from developing. This level of automation enhances the user experience, making the Roomba Combo 10 MAX a truly hands-free cleaning solution. Easy-to-Use App The Roomba Combo 10 MAX also comes with a user-friendly app that makes controlling and monitoring the device a breeze. The app offers a range of customizable options, allowing users to set cleaning schedules, define no-go zones, and even monitor the cleaning progress in real-time. The interface is intuitive, ensuring that even those who are not tech-savvy can navigate it with ease. The app's seamless integration with the robot ensures that users can manage their cleaning tasks remotely, adding to the overall convenience of the Roomba Combo 10 MAX. What’s in the Box? The Roomba Combo 10 MAX comes with all the essentials needed to get started right out of the box. Here’s what you can expect: Robot Vacuum: The heart of the system, equipped with all the advanced features and technology to provide an efficient cleaning experience. Docking Station: The docking station is more than just a charging base; it’s an essential part of the Roomba Combo 10 MAX’s functionality. Cleaning Solution: The cleaning solution provided ensures that the robot can tackle tough stains and dirt with ease. Docking Station Design and Features The docking station of the Roomba Combo 10 MAX is not just a place for the robot to recharge. It's a sleek and functional unit that enhances the overall performance of the vacuum. Aesthetic Appeal: The docking station is designed with aesthetics in mind, featuring a modern look that blends seamlessly with any home decor. The station also has a handle at the back, making it easy to lift and move around as needed. Indicators for Enhanced Usability: On top of the docking station, you’ll find several indicators that provide real-time information on the device’s status. These indicators alert you if the door is not closed properly or if the dirty liquid tank needs to be emptied. This ensures that the station operates smoothly and efficiently, without the need for constant monitoring. Dual Water Tanks: Inside the docking station, there are two water tanks – one for clean water and another for dirty water. The tanks are equipped with front handles, making them easy to pull out when needed. However, it's advisable to use both hands for support when removing the tanks to prevent any accidental spills or mishaps. Dust Collector with Bag Installation: The docking station also includes a dust collector with a bag installed, which collects the dust and debris from the vacuum. This feature ensures that the cleaning process is as hands-free as possible, reducing the need for frequent maintenance. Self-Cleaning Mechanism: Perhaps one of the most impressive aspects of the docking station is its ability to suck the dust from the robot and clean the mopping pad automatically. The station also dries the pad after washing, ensuring that it’s ready for the next cleaning session. This self-cleaning mechanism sets the Roomba Combo 10 MAX apart from many of its competitors, offering unparalleled convenience and efficiency. Performance and Usability The Roomba Combo 10 MAX excels in its primary function – cleaning. It does a fantastic job of picking up dust, dirt, and debris from various surfaces. However, to get the most out of the device, it's important to set up the mapping correctly. The app allows you to create no-clean zones, which helps the robot navigate more effectively around your home. While the robot is quite good at detecting larger objects, smaller items like toys can occasionally be missed, so it's advisable to clear the area of such obstacles before starting a cleaning session. The mopping pad, though thin, is highly effective at cleaning floors. It’s stored on top of the robot and automatically moves down when the device begins cleaning or performing an auto wash. This level of automation simplifies the cleaning process, ensuring that your floors are always clean without any manual intervention. The User Experience: A Truly Hands-Free Cleaning Solution The Roomba Combo 10 MAX offers an unparalleled user experience, largely due to its advanced automation features. The combination of powerful suction, intelligent navigation, and self-cleaning capabilities makes it a standout product in the market. The ease of use is further enhanced by the app, which provides users with full control over the device, allowing them to customize and monitor the cleaning process with ease. Whether you have a busy household or simply prefer to spend your time on other activities, the Roomba Combo 10 MAX is designed to take the burden of cleaning off your shoulders. It not only cleans but also maintains itself, ensuring that you always come home to a spotless living space. Conclusion In conclusion, the Roomba Combo 10 MAX is a top-tier robot vacuum that delivers on its promises. Its powerful suction, intelligent floor detection, auto wash feature, and user-friendly app make it a highly desirable product for anyone looking to invest in a smart cleaning solution. While it may have a few minor drawbacks, such as its occasional difficulty in detecting small objects, these are far outweighed by the numerous benefits it offers. If you’re in the market for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean, the Roomba Combo 10 MAX is well worth considering.

Roomba 10 Max Dual Moppin and vacuuming device is a fantastic tool for maintaining a clean home. Roomba Combo 10 Max has a straightforward setup process. Convenience ensures a stress-free daily cleaning. The packaging is sleek, compact, environmentally green, and functional packaging. The robot, a charging dock, a power cord, an extra filter, and a mop pad are packed in the box. A quick start guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to get started. Setup takes minutes. Place the charging dock in a central location with enough space for the robot to navigate easily. Plug in the dock and place the Roomba on it to charge. While the robot charges, the iRobot Home app, which is available on iOS and Android, is needed to set up your vacuum. The app guides you through the rest of the setup process, including connecting the robot to your Wi-Fi network. The app's interface is intuitive, with clear instructions and prompts that make the setup seamless. Within minutes, you'll have your Roomba connected and ready to go. The mapping setup was very easy to learn. This is a critical step; the mapping process is fully automated, and the robot navigates through your rooms, using sensors and cameras to create a detailed map. The robot can recognize hard floors and carpets, ensuring that it adjusts its cleaning type and makes it efficient and thorough. This adaptability makes it ideal for homes with all kinds of flooring. Vacuuming is really good. The robot has powerful suction that handles fine dust to larger debris. The robot includes a multi-surface rubber brush that adapts to different floor types, ensuring a deep clean across carpets, hardwood, and tile. The mop function is activated automatically when the robot detects a hard floor surface. The robot powwerful spray to wet the floor, followed by a scrubbing action with the attached mop pad. The result is a streak-free clean that rivals traditional mopping methods. The smart mapping feature allows for better personalization. Using the app, users can label different rooms, set specific cleaning schedules for each area, and adjust the cleaning mode based on the room's needs. Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant upgrade control to your cleaning sessions with simple voice commands. Voice adds extra convenience to your cleaning routine, giving you more control over your home's cleanliness. The robot can be integrated into smart home setups, allowing it to work with other devices. You can set up routines where the Roomba starts cleaning when you leave the house or have it dock and charge when your smart home security system is armed. The Roomba has a lithium-ion battery for up to 120 minutes of cleaning time on a single charge, addressing the common concern of battery life with robotic vacuums. That's plenty for most homes, and if the battery runs low mid-cleaning, the robot will automatically return to its dock, recharge, and resume cleaning where it left off. Maintenance is simple. The dust is stored in an easy-to-remove and empty canister, and the filter can be rinsed with water and reused. Mop pads are machine washable. The app provides reminders for regular maintenance tasks, such as cleaning the sensors and brushes, ensuring your robot remains in peak operating condition. You will love this one. I highly recommend it!!!!!

Unboxing: This was not very intuitive. There was the main dock and vacuum in the box. There was a getting started guide however it just told you to plug in the main dock and turn on the vacuum. Then download the app and pair it. There were a lot of steps missing. I had to look up the full manual which there was no easy way inside the box to find. There were several steps. Including removing plastic, installing a roller and loading water for the mopping function. Use: I liked that this replaced the latest iRobot vacuum only with now the capacity of mopping. Once fully setup I was prompted with a firmware update. The update left the unit down for over 20 min. After turning it off then on a few times. I finally got the unit ready to run it’s first job. Luckily, I had the house mapped from the other unit, so this was just start and go. I picked vacuum/mop as my job. It went to what seemed like my rugs in the house then started working its way back and forth on floor from there. While I did not watch it the whole time it appeared to vacuum well, and you could see the mop come out and the floor lightly wet which it would be if I mopped any other way. It dried in minutes. When the job was complete the floor appeared to be clean. After several other jobs through the week. I felt like it was the best version of an automated vacuum I had ever used. I still think the obstacle avoidance could be better. In a busy house we sometimes have shoes where they should not be, or a chair pulled out from the dining table. The new camera feature did display a few items which were cool since I could say if the item was temporarily there, permanently or it was a false positive. Also, you can choose if you want that data to help other users in the community which is nice for the intelligence of the product but if there is something private you can select no. I think this does a good job but still the vacuum jobs are long and it still grabs charging cables in my master bedroom. Also still somehow leaves hair from the dogs in certain areas. I just feel like you can be picky for the price point. If this was about $500 cheaper then I would have lowered my expectations. Finally, you can adjust how hard it vacuums, if you want multiple passes and if you want it to dry the mop pad later. Summary: Like I said this is the best automatic vacuum/mop I have used to date, and the camera feature helps me teach it to be better in the future. I do feel like the firmware is still being worked out since the initial one failed and one other job left the dock and just stopped about 2 feet later. I had to turn it off and on. Then redock it. Things like that start to take away from the experience. Definitely a buy if you have the money in your budget or do not want to have to vacuum your floors. Great for mixed flooring of tile, LVT and carpet.

I currently have the J5 Roomba, just a size and weight comparison, the 10 Max is aprx. 25% bigger and maybe 5 lbs. heavier. The reason I chose the Roomba 10 combo, is because it says it can identify the difference between carpet and hardwood when mopping. First yhe packaging. I'm really big on how an item comes delivered, and aside from some plastic bags containing the vacuum and another item everything else was well packed in heavy cardboard. No issues with broken or dented parts. Setting up the vacuum was straightforward as everything, ie. waste Bag, filter was already in place. The water receptacles do need to be clasped shut and the sticker connecting them should be removed. There are individual bins for clean and dirty water. I put in the mop cleaning roller that's packaged separately, into the bottom of the unit and it was ready to go. Because I already have a Roomba that was using the app, adding a second one was no problem as they work independently. Otherwise it's best to download it from the app store. After turning it on, it does need to be wi-fi connected (I assume) although I didn't look at an alternative method. Like what if you're the .0001% person who doesn't have service? So I can't tell you if it'll work that way or not, but there are buttons on top for manual use. Back to the app, I set the iRobot to map my home, my square footage is aprx. 1200’. It took about an hour to do so, And came up with 700 s.f. the only place it couldn't get to was the bathroom. Shortly after recharging again I set it to vacuuming. I have to say for a smart robot, it is pretty dumb LOL. It would repeatedly bump into an obstacle, go to another spot and come back to bump the same obstacle again. There were times it would sit in the same spot, not being blocked or anything almost like it was wondering where to go next. A couple of times it spun around multiple time on its axis without advancing. It is kind of fun to watch. All that said. The suction does not appear to be much more than the J5 and I noticed that because the brush is only on one side, it can send debris over to an area that's already been cleaned which means it gets left behind. It does very well on dirty spots, it will go back and forth until the sensors detect that it's been cleaned. I have area rugs and hardwood in the living areas, the rugs are practically spotless when finished, but again the brushes tend to move particles around on the hardwood. It's not a lot but it does happen. The next day I sent it out to vacuum And mop. Oh I forgot to mention it does label each room…this part is pretty smart, it recognized my home office and the kitchen and labeled both. The living/dining was lumped as just livingroom. So when it vacuumed it did a straight line, sort of, from the rug then hardwood and to the next rug. When it mopped, it vacuumed both rugs first and then vacuumed/mopped the floors which I thought was very intuitive. I'm sure I'll find other things about the vacuum that I've not come across yet and I'll send it out again to re-map my home in the hopes that it will find additional areas. Even though it bumps into things all the time and it's kind of loud when cleaning and it takes about 3 times longer than I do, it gets the job done and does it in places I forget like under the bed and chairs, the best part is it saves time because I'm not doing it!

They perfected it! After years of excellent products, iRobot has perfected their technology with the iRobot Roomba Combo 10 Max. We have been using robot floor cleaners for many years and this one has far surpassed my expectations! It keeps the floors in our entire 4 bedroom, 2 bath home spotless! It even has a fantastic AI called Dirt Detective that ensures that the high traffic areas in the home are cleaned more often, I absolutely love that feature! It also didn't take long at all to get everything setup and running, and the learning process went very well also. We have it setup to clean on a schedule when no one is home, but even when I have been home while it is running the noise levels have been very minimal. One of our other favorite features are the voice commands! When we have a spill, or something to clean up on demand we simply tell it to clean it and it happens! The app is also very intuitive and easy to use, and I love the fact that it gives me health statuses on the Roomba as well. Overall this is an amazing value, because it does it all and it does it all so well. We definitely would not hesitate to get this again!

It follows the same formula as previous Roombas that both vacuums and mops, but improves on it by making it easier and more convenient. The first thing to notice is that the dock is now larger. This is because it contains the paper dust bag, as well as two water tanks: one for clean water, and one for used, dirty water. Once you send the Roomba out on a job, it monitors its own status, including the dust/dirt level in the tank, as well as clean and dirty water levels, and the battery charge. When any one of them is getting problematic, it will return to the base, charge the battery, empty the dust bin, fill up the clean water, and empty the dirty water, and all of this is automatic. When you first start it up it will begin by mapping the area, and the app will also let you schedule jobs, add “keep out” regions, and change various settings. The front-mounted camera also means that it is supposed to detect obstacles (like pet waste) that you don’t want to get smeared all over the floor. It can also show you a picture of any obstacles that it found so that you can identify them, making future runs easier. And, like previous Roomba models, most of the wearable parts can be easily replaced, including all brushes, rollers, and even the drive motors. Speaking of rollers, there is even a roller that attaches to the base which apparently is used to clean off the bottom of the robot as it docks. This device is great, but not perfect. One thing to keep in mind is that this robot is not very heavy, which means that it can’t really “scrub” a dirty spot with the mop, since it doesn’t have much weight behind it. This is just physics, and no robot this size can really scrub. There is a “smart scrub” feature that will do a better job of mopping, but it does this by going over an area several times, and makes the job take MUCH longer. One area that could be improved is the documentation. When starting up the unit for the first time, the app says to wait for the swirling blue light on top to stop moving. Wrong. The swirling blue light apparently means that it is ready. After waiting 30 minutes for the lights to stop (supposed to be done in two minutes), I just continued on and the robot connected to my WiFi easily, and setup continued. The other thing is the usage of the water tanks. The paper manual barely even mentioned the tanks, and some digging in the app shows that the clear tank is for clean water, and the black tank is for waste water. Can you use mopping or cleaning solution with this machine? Who knows? The documentation is not clear. But out of an abundance of caution I don’t intend to use any cleaning solution and will just stick to plain water unless I can find some official guidance from iRobot claiming otherwise. But other than some minor documentation hiccups, this robot works great, and I recommend it. But the parts that collect the dirt do wear out, so I STRONGLY recommend getting spare rollers and a spare side brush to keep on hand for a quick replacement.

I've owned a couple of different robot cleaners throughout the years from different brands and each and every one had it's plus and minus. I've used the older irobot mop and vacuum and really liked it as well. But using this new Roomba 10 Max is a huge jump in technology and cleaning ability. I've also been to friends homes that uses different brands and, imo, I prefer the look and size of the Roomba. Unboxing the Roomba the first thing you notice that it is hefty and everything feels like it's quality made. Nothing cheap and flimsy. Besides the vacuum and base, inside the box has a quick start guide and extra dust bag, filter, mop head and cleaning brush. I appreciate this because I know I won't have to purchase anything to keep the vacuum running, at least for awhile. As for the quick start guide, it is very short so you should scan the qr code to download the full owners manual to help set up the vacuum. It is a lot more detailed. Once you get everything into place, download the Irobot app and, with the vacuum on, the app should be able to find the vacuum. It was very easy but did take a bit going through the process and the updates. First thing you will have to do after finishing with the app is to let the vacuum map your house. This takes a bit of time, but from what I remember, the Combo 10 did it much faster than my older one. Watching it, I feel that this unit is much stronger. The app is very detailed with so many functions that I won't bore you with it all. What is important, imo, is how does it mop. For me, the kitchen was the most important room. I cook a lot and make quite a mess LOL. So the floors in that room can be dirty and sticky. I set up the vacuum to mop every other day and it does a great job. That brings me to a little complaint. The water tanks is a bit small so I have to keep a mindful eye on when to dump the gray water tank and fill the fresh water tank. The app will tell you this too btw. But, with that though is a more compact unit. A friend has a different model that is much larger and imo, stands out more in the room. I like how compact the Irobot is and can be less noticeable. This unit also can clean and dry the mop head and does a pretty good job at it. But, every once in awhile, you will still need to throw it in the washing machine or wash it by hand to make sure it's truly clean. All in all, this vacuum does a great job cleaning any room. I'm really happy with this unit as it is a huge upgrade to the older Roomba.

So this replaced our J7, thought why not upgrade since my warranty paid for replacement the J7. Got this on the Black Friday sale and had some gift cards so wasnt out any money after adding them plus the warranty money. Thought why i could save time insead of having 2 machines clean my floors since i have a m6 and roomba just have 1 machine that does both. Worse mistake of my life thank god i didnt get ride of my Irobot M6 so it can still mop my floors. The constant errors, the smaller dust bin is tiring. It doesnt run half the time due to errors and you dont know it has a error unlike the old roomba. You have to manually check the bin to see if it’s clogged. Stay away from this roomba. Its a good concept but its a major fail. Oh and yes it does clean the mop pad just wait till you go to empty that old dirty mop water. You better have a strong stomach.

Didn’t even last five months!!! Son gave this to me as a Xmas gift and it stopped being able to charge in mid May!!! Called iRobot as it is still under warranty and I am still waiting for an email to tell me what they are going to do a week later. No email no answer by phone. Horrible customer service. No wonder they are going out of business. Have owned Roomba robots since they first came out and always had great customer service and they always sent out new products if it was under warranty right away. The charging contacts on the dock no longer raise to meet the contacts on the robot. I told them and sent pics and was told I had to wait for another dept to review and they will contact by email. That was a week ago so I have a dead robot and they don’t care. Will NEVER buy another Roomba!!! My son wasted $1000
