I bought an early Roomba. It was (10+ years ago). It was too much work, always catching on things, always needing emptying. I was going to give a low level one another chance. I read reviews, and the moment I saw the self emptying function, I knew this was the only possible choice (2 dogs). We have a much larger houise now, with two floors. Bought one, brought it home, plugged it in, followed instructions and 3 minutes later it was set. After charging off it went. Never getting caught, returning to base emptying, etc. So, after a about three hours it had gone everywhere. There were some hair clumps left, but it picked up most of those the second pass. Hasn't gotten stuck on once on five cycles. Removed dirt and fur I could never get to Amazing! I love my robot. I ran out in a couple days and bought one for the upstairs. It was barely in range of strong wifi and had trouble connecting. Customer support fast and competent. He just had me take the unit were there was strong wifi, set it up and put it back into position. Has worked flawlessly since. So, now all I need to do is... well nothing. They are scheduled to run when I am out of the house. The carpet always looks freshly vacuumed. It cleans places I could never get to (like under the bed), and as a bonus, makes me pick up after myself so it can clean every other day. Finally, the future is here!

I bought this vacuum because we have hard floors and pets. The first couple of days my spouse is reluctant. We don’t really need this I vacuum. After a few days the statement changes. Let’s run that vacuum again. Hairy found her soft spot.

The Roomba i7 is the most powerful robot that we have had. It has the most advanced memory and mapping system. We also purchased the cleaning tower which works better than we expected. Very powerful suction. I would recommend this cleaning duo to everyone. It is well worth the investment.

First of all, I've owned a 980 for almost a year and its been great. I recently learned about the new i7+ so I had to try one out. The "empties itself" concept sounds really cool. But there's only one problem. There's a small HEPA filter inside the vacuum's dust bin that requires regular cleaning or it will get clogged pretty easily mainly due to its small size. So this means the end user still needs to remove the dust bin to service the HEPA filter. So for that I figure if I have to remove the dust bin on a regular basis then what's the big deal of emptying the dirt from the dust bin itself? That being that, I decided to return the i7+ for the regular i7 that's the same vacuum but minus the emptying bin. That saved me $250 which made me even happier. I love the Smart Mapping feature of the I7 series vacuums which that alone makes it a very nice upgrade over the 980.

I've had at least six Roombas over several homes and several years, and I always name the new "her" Roballini." One home-buyer insisted "she" stay with the house. I love her, thank her and keep her very clean. Mine are not auto-clean. I have a cat who apparently sheds what looks like a pound of long black hair a month and Roballini picks it up perfectly. She does scar up however, but still works perfectly after two years for this one. I got my son one and he called to say he'd accidentally left his back door open, looked out and there "she" was, rolling down the raised driveway to the sidewalk, cleaning up all the leaves before he rescued her. Didn't hurt her a bit. BTW, two had problems (out of 6 or 7 Roombas) but my store replaced them immediately. I use it in addition to a small cordless vacuum.

It took a bit for me to find the right location which caused me a few issues with the mapping. However, once I found the right location, it’s been fantastic!

The mapping feature is really good on this, however the vacuum works better on carpet than hardwoods and tile.

First dry run it examined and plotted the entire house. The first actual job was accomplished to perfection. we haven't had it long enough to fully appreciate all of its capabilities.

The product last a year before it started acting up. Now about 2 year into the product, it fails often. I would not buy irobot again. The app loses password every time especially if it updates. So you must re-login all the time. If you forget your login, there is no option to recover it. The internet is full of how buggy the app is. Product feels like they outsourced it and it acts like a third world country.

Unless your house is already clean, this is a waste of money. Constantly gets stuck, can’t find home base, doesn’t seat right so won’t charge… and now just 3 years later (of barely using) it is completely dead. Save your money, buy a different brand.

This room a did not meet my expectations. I have two older versions that I absolutely love. This model doesn’t appear to have the suction that the others do, nor does it clean my entire first floor like the others do. The battery dies about halfway through the task. Very disappointed and returning this model.

I've had 5 robot vacuums, including the s9. This is by far my favorite. It was the easiest to set up. It can even off road it over the marble step into my bathroom.

Exalent product. Tiimely delivery. In great shape. Very pleased. Will by from Best Buy agian.

The Roomba i7+ vacuums better than a human. My main purpose was to use this daily in a Sunroom on vinyl tiles and under several bird cages. BTW, birds throw everything possible out of their cages - it's a game. Those unusual green silicone brushes remove debris that my upright Shark ignores. And Roomba easily goes under all my furniture as well as the bird cages. In a short 18 minutes, my Sunroom is sparkling clean. Why did I wait so long to purchase one?

I've had my roomba for about 9 months now and it's held up for the most part. While the suction is more powerful than my actual vacuum cleaner it's battery life doesnt last nearly as long as it says it should. I'm a busy mom, I work 50+ hours a week so it's nice being able to rely on technology such as the roomba. Its made my life a little easier and for that I am grateful.

Very Happy with this vacuum like that you can program it to go on at certain times

Bought this for my parents as a Christmas gift and my mom was less than pleased. She kept saying she didn’t want anymore electronics to deal with and didn’t need the headache. Sent my sister to their house to get it set up for them and now they can’t stop singing it’s praise. They quickly decided it was worth learning how to use and quickly became an expert. They did have an issue with something but it was quickly replaced.

Once programmed it works really good. It cleans every room downstairs of dirt and pet hair, including unobstructed corners. The phone app makes it a delight to see where and for how long it cleans before having to recharge and empty. Was a great purchase with the special discount for the good cleaning, maintenance and time saved in performing the task.

We like ours. We bought ours for a Xmas present. They don’t have it yet.
