Really like this model, once the mapping has been completed it worksnreally well. Highly reccomend getting the auto emptying stand as well. Its basically a set it and forget it till a message pops up on your phone!

iRobot 7+ is good in cleaning carpet too. Maps the area pretty well after couple turns. Hits obstacles several times to get around it though.

I have an 860 series and love it so much, and the I had 980, I didn’t like it much, but this new model is the best Roomba I have ever own, it does the job nice and smart, and quite and easy maintenance.

This is the best thing that has ever happened to me! It vacuums up dust from deep in the carpet, goes underneath and behind furniture better than when I do it myself. My floor has never looked so clean!

Works great, mapped my whole house but sometimes the mapping messes up and it will go back to the docking station, it takes one charge after it begins the job and the down time is usually an hour to charge back up to finish the job

It stopped working the second day. Error 26. AFter research and phone calls, they sent me a part to swap out. I dislike spending my time troubleshooting and repairing a brand new expensive appliance. It is a problem the company is aware of with a solution they have already resolved. Yet they are still selling units with this problem. When I complained they offered me a minimal discount on a maintenance kit for the i9+. That would entail returning my i7+ and purchasing the newly released i9+. Lame complaint resolution. To be clear, I was dealing with iRobot for all this. Not Best Buy. Now that it works I love the product.

Still learning how to operate, however love, love the way it cleans. It goes places that we can’t get with our other vacuum, like under our bed, and even under the couch. Was surprised it Vacuums the bathroom rug and anti fatigue mats in the Kitchen.

I bought this for my parents for Christmas and they love it. I was looking for one that was highly rated, easy to use, and required as little maintenance as possible. So far this fits the bill in all categories.

Absolutely love it. A bit pricey, but worth it with 2 dogs and a cat. We have a 2600+ sq ft home with tile, carpet and Pergo flooring. Keeps them all very clean. Highly recommend the model like we have that self empties the bin.

The automatic dirt disposal proved to be a true advantage and reduced the effort of dirt disposal significantly, especially in our large house. Cleans well and the app works well.

I work okay for the first 4 month but now it doesn’t stay charged to do a full route

I bought this product in early December 2019 so I've had it for a little over a year. It worked great for the first 11 months we owned it. The roomba would vacuum, come back to its docking station, empty itself, and then go back to vacuuming again. We would empty the main bag from the base station about once a month which is more frequent than other reviewers have noted but we also have a big shedding dog. Then we started having problems 11 months into ownership. The vacuum would dock and then signal an error to my phone saying it couldn't empty itself. In the beginning it would do it infrequently and I'd have to fiddle with it to get it working again. But then the error was occurring on a regular basis. I really started trouble shooting when half the time it wouldn't work. I followed all of the instructions on the app to no avail. It would work when it wanted and then it stopped emptying completely. I finally figured out the base station was defective and it wasn't communicating with the roomba. My wife called irobot and they spent 1 hour on the phone with her and had her repeat all the trouble shooting techniques we had already tried. All of the remedies failed and they too concluded the base station was defective. Then the bad news. The base station could not be repaired so we had to purchase a replacement for $260. The vacuum was 15 months old and outside the 12 month warranty even though the problem started at 11 months of ownership. What a crock. A $1000 vacuum should not have a major part of it become unusable after a little over a year. I will never buy another one of these again.

I did so much research to see which 1 would be good for pet hair . The only reason I bought it was for my puppy because he is constantly shedding plus it pick up dirt and stuff on the floor. I have carpet. This 1 is very good picking up pet hair . I have a 9 month old shiba inu. He is sheding so much in this summer heat so I am constantly brushing him everyday. His hair is like a poof. Light and fluffy. I sometimes have to help my roomba to do a deep clean since the clean base cant pick up my puppy fur since its too fluffy in the beginning. Now it is doing just fine. My shiba inu fights the roomba so I leave him outside for a bit or put him in the kitchen so he will not attack the roomba. It is very expensive but it saves so much time and makes you lazy.

Works well. It is very difficult to follow instructions to get the unit programmed to the phone. It would help to have printed instructions on "getting started."

It does a nice job of cleaning. and is very easy to use but my only problem is that it it toooo noisy and disturbing

Great product! I love that I can use this from a touch from my phone. It can be loud when it empties out into the dock but still a great item.

It dumps it's own waste into the tower! The app is fantastic - as long as the unit is connected to WiFi, you can start it from any cell phone signal. The mapping software is nice too - very user friendly.

Edge brush stopped working after 2 weeks and still wont work after cleaning and replacing it.

I was skeptical and went head first buying this vacuum. I have used it for a month and the house is well cared for. It maps the rooms and it will do rooms independently. Just make sure to pick up shoes with laces it will get stuck.
