Close, but no cigar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this little gizmo back on 11/05/14 so I've had time to put it through it's paces. My primary use is for automobile purposes since the aftermarket system in my car (the HRH)* lacks built in Bluetooth. Charging and setup went without a hitch. Battery life is excellent , even in less than ideal environmental conditions . What's great about it is how it pauses the music on my android phone during incoming calls. Of course, that's with the phone set to hands free mode. The offset 3.5 mm adapter is a nice touch also, giving me easy access to the usb connection. My one caveat with the unit is the overall low gain. Mind you, my playback is through a high performance system, with a separate powered subwoofer . You really have to crank it up to get halfway decent sound. Beyond that, I still would recommend this unit as a way to add quick and easy wireless connectivity. * "97" Hot Rod Honda ☺️

A LIFE SAVER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m a delivery driver and had to find a way to listen to music, while also remaining hands free. In my area, there’s only so much local radio you can listen to before you start to hear the same thing over and over again. I tried aux cords, which were fine but I constantly had to pull my phone out to pause or change what I was listening too. I also tried an FM transmitter, but it was hard to pick up a signal that wasn’t extremely staticky, and again, I had to pull out my phone to pause or change music. With this device, I just plug it in to the aux port, choose my tunes, and never have to touch my phone again! The pause and skip functions right on the front of the device are just icing on the cake! I would recommend this device to ANYONE!

Great form-factor bad performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted this device to work. I liked the simple design. I bought it at lunch and returned after work. I knew the instant I installed it I was going to return it... I just needed to get back from lunch. The sound was flat and neutral. There wasn't any base and the highs were tinny. I'm an old ex-jet engine mechanic and know my hearing isn't the greatest. The song I used to measure the performance of this was by Apollo 440 - Smoke & Mirrors. This device did not like the song.. I ended up taking the device back and exchanged it for the Aluratek AIS01F. It was less expensive and out performed circles around the BluJax listening to the same song. The base was rich as well as the whole range sounded great... too bad though, the BluJax is a real simple package and had the one big button right in the middle of it. THIS DEVICE IS PERFECT FOR LISTENING TO PODCAST'S OR BOOKS ON TAPE! I would give it 5 stars for this only... for now only 2.

Adequate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works, but I have a couple of major problems with the device that made me return it. Firstly, the unit has a single, large multi-fcuntion button that glows. Depending on the AUX port placement in your car, the glow can be extremely distracting. Especially when it starts flashing between red and blue. The other issue is that the output level (volume) is too low. I had to crank my car stereo way up. Other than that, it works well. After the initial pairing it was a simple matter of pressing the button once to wake it up and pair with the last device.

Great if you are looking for simple
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device was exactly what I was looking for. Low profile, looks great when plugged in. No extra wires, just clean looking install. Works great, memory allows up to 5 devices to pair to it at any given time, 2 simultaneously. You have to charge it, either in the house or in the car but charges quick. Provides complete and simple control, doesn't take phone calls just allows you to play music or driving instructions if you are using your phone as a GPS. I don't like the phone feature as everyone next to me can hear my call. I prefer bluetooth earpiece for that. Great product. Recommend if you want simple.

Can't use while charging???
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up this latest model while I was still happily using the previous model. Kinda liked the idea of having the basic playback control buttons on the unit itself as another option, which the older model does not have. The problem for me is that this latest model can't be used while it's plugged in to charge for some reason. Not sure why the manufacturer would have removed that option in the first place. I don't want to be bothered with having to keep up with charging the device. I've been keeping the older one plugged in to a powered USB port in the car so that it's always charging while I'm driving no matter how long of a roadtrip I might be on, rendering the unit always ready to go for any length of time. I'm quite certain that this new model works just as well as the older one for it's intended purpose, but I will be returning it because it now lacks that very important (at least to me) feature.

Great while it worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product while it worked. After a month the volume went down and then it lost connection. after attempting to reconnect it again it fails. It was always used on the same truck and with the same device.

nice, convenient product with one design flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned two of these Bluetooth adapters. Both lasted about 10 months and worked great. But both saw their demise the same way too. The plug on the adapter for charging works well but it needs to be handled somewhat gingerly. Both times this object broke it was when I pulled the cord out of the adapter and then the charging element inside the adapter became dislodged and couldn't be charged again. Otherwise I really like this product and would still recommend it.

Fantastic!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works perfectly! No wires needed, just a button press will do! It does need to be charged, but that's not a big deal at all. I'm just happy it works.

Worked great but only for a short time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item for one of my older vehicles that does not support Bluetooth audio but did have an auxiliary 3.5 jack on the front. So the adapter worker great and held a decent charge for only about 6 months. then one day the audio was only about halt of what it used to be. Be weary of this product especially at this relatively high price point.

Cannot connect to devices
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.None of my devices can discover this adapter. I purchased two different adapters on the same day. I was able to connect to the other one in 5 seconds. I spent an hour trying different things but still did not work.

Was GREAT until
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this device for approx 4 months and it worked GREAT. It paired easily, was easy to use, didn't take long to charge...things were fine. UNTIL today. The sound has all but disappeared. Even though the volume is up to 10 it sounds like it's on one. I cannot hear over the sound of the engine. I tried to pair it with another device and it won't pair. I love the design but the device has simply malfunctioned. And because of the other reviews I'm going to have to go with another device.

Not simple
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems to work fine but too many steps for my wife to use. You have to use your phone to select the device, then press the button, then wait for the connection. After all that the voice sometimes comes through the phone and sometimes comes through the car speakers. My wife tried twice and asked me to take it out of her car.

Perfect

Worked great, While it lasted!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this blue tooth adapter for just over a year. 13 months to be exact. I purchased it for the sole purpose of using it on our motorcycle. We live in MN. So the bike does not get used Oct thru May and neither did the blue tooth. We went for a ride yesterday and as I went to charge the blue tooth, the inside metal piece to which I would plug a cord into for charging fell out of the blue tooth. Leaving me with no way to charge it, there fore useless! Best Buy would not do anything as it was past the one year warranty. I am currently waiting to hear from the manufacturer. I would expect something so simple could last longer. And the fact that it fell apart??? Poor quality.
