I realize this is old technology but it doesn’t sound very good at all. It is a lower costing type of cassette.....so maybe the more expensive ones are better sounding. There is a hummino sound and the music goes in and out just not a good device I wouldn’t recommend it

Connected iSimple to my kindle Kindle Fire (which works great with earphones). Inserted iSimple in the cassette player in my 1997 Ford truck (original installation). Lots of clikity clack and then low volume sound from left speaker only. Removed cassette, reinserted, reversed direction of cassette player to change elevation of pick-up head in cassette player - only plays in right to left mode with left speaker only with low sound output. Went to iSimple website but found only iSimple promotion with no trouble shooting help. Ejected iSimple and put in trash can.

This item does not even deserve one star. It is a piece of junk. I bought it for a 14 hour drive & it started malfunctioning immediately. It randomly made horrible loud popping/crackling noises, would stop playing for no reason, and/or my iPhone would switch to Siri, asking ‘what can I help you with?’. So incredibly frustrating & annoying. And when it did actually work & play music the sound quality was horrible. Pulling on the cord coming out of the tape deck sometimes helped improve the sound but just for a minute or two. I am going to return this piece of garbage - hoping Best Buy does the right thing & gives me my $ back.

Don’t recommend unless you have no other choice. It’s good for what it’s supposed to do, but the sound quality is the same as an actual tape cassette so not the best option

The button is pointless unless you have a broken screen on your phone or some crazy other reason you can't skip through/pause/or forward your music. My music will be playing fine one minute and then randomly pause or start fast forwarding out of nowhere the next. This happens almost every time I use the product and is only solved by unplugging and re-plugging the cord in (WHICH MAKES THE BUTTON FOR EASY ACCESS COMPLETELY POINTLESS!) I am extremely displeased with the quality of this adapter. The ONLY positive about the product is that the plug can still fit through the case I keep on my phone.

Save yourself grief and spend $40 more on a stereo with aux port. It worked for 1 time and began skipping, sticking in. Not worth the hassle to save a few bucks.

I mean, what kind of sound can you expect through a "cassette"? That's the sound you get, not the actual wonderful digital sound we're all used to. Pricel for the quality.

It worked good in the first 2 days but now it makes a noise that is bad but not the worst thing in the world. I think $18.99 is just too much for what you end up getting.

Don't like this item. It keeps skipping songs. The button on the cord end is very sensitive. It will skip songs even when you don't want it to!

Built in microphone activates itself randomly. Without touching anything my phone will enable Siri while music is playing. Very frustrating!
