This adapter is not only good for connecting a monitor to a laptop, but also casting a smartphone or table to a larger display. There’s no software that needs to be installed to make this work. You just need to plug it into a USB-C port with display port alternate mode.

This adapter will connect a USB-C video port on your computer to an HDMI cable connected to an external display. We also have a direct USB-C to HDMI cable available:

This option is good if you do not want a separate HDMI cable.

Thanks for picking up the j5create USB-C to HDMI cable. Newer laptops are removing the dedicated video ports and the only way to add an additional monitor is over USB-C. Great to hear that it is working for you.
