That is what this adapter is for; connecting a video capable USB-C port to a HDMI cable. We also have a cable that will directly connect USB-C to HDMI.

Thanks for sharing your review. I understand the frustration with using adapters. The cable below may be a better solution for your setup it is a USB C to HDMI cable.
