Posted .Because the JCA153G is a PnP adapter, your phone, computer, or tablet would need to support video output via USB-C. In this case, due to the phone not supporting such capability, the JCA153G would not work for you. We do have the JUA165C that will work for you and if interested in learning more about the model, please feel free to contact us, our information can be found on the packaging and an agent will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

This adapter will not work with all smartphones. You will need to ensure that your smartphone supports display port alternate mode (sometimes called video over USB-C). If you have any questions about compatibility of j5create products our customer support team would be happy to help.

USB-C will not display HDMI

It does not work w/ ASUS Vivobook 15 regardless of what the Best Buy rep say. After much research online, it comes to the USB Type-C in ASUS Vivobook 15 do not have enough power to connect to a monitor via HDMI. I returned it a couple times w/ different model but it turns out, it was the USB-C. I found my old USB J5 w/ connector to HDMI to monitor and it works.

Posted .The USB-C to 4K HDMI Adapter with Power Delivery requires that a computer must support DisplayPort Alt Mode for video out and USB Power Delivery to allow pass-through charge through a USB-C port interface.
