This doesn't happen with our Belkin adapter - I tested across several platforms. This adapter works, but causes flashes on the screen.

Apparently needs some sort of software, but it was not clear on the box or the instructions how to make it work. It was therefore useless for me and I had to return it to the store. I opted for a Display Port to HDMI which is working great.

Posted .The JCA153G is a Plug n Play, no software is available for installation. Connect to Thunderbolt 3 or 4/USB-C port with HDMI cable connected to a display with the correct input selected.

It does not work w/ ASUS Vivobook 15 regardless of what the Best Buy rep say. After much research online, it comes to the USB Type-C in ASUS Vivobook 15 do not have enough power to connect to a monitor via HDMI. I returned it a couple times w/ different model but it turns out, it was the USB-C. I found my old USB J5 w/ connector to HDMI to monitor and it works.

This adapter is ideal for connect a USB-C device that support video out to a larger display. This includes laptops, smartphones, and tablets. You just need to make sure that you plug the USB-C in to a port that supports display port alternate mode.
