I just bought one today and took it home to use with my new monitor (LG - 27” UltraGear QHD Nano IPS 1ms 165Hz HDR Monitor with G-SYNC Compatibility - Black). I have another LG monitor and I'm using a macbook air 2020. Really disappointed.

Posted .The HDMI Adapter does not require any drivers for installation. The device is a Plug n Play, there are no software's available. However, if you are connecting 2 external displays, you will only be able to display 1, that is the limitation hardware for computers with the M1 chip.

Posted .Hi KevinB, thanks for your feedback. The JCA153G is a PnP and some phones have a feature called "DisplayPort Alt. Mode to support Plug and Play devices. When I plugged it in my drawing tablet would not have any signal. When I purchased the Insignia™ - VGA to HDMI Adapter - White, my drawing table worked.

We appreciate that you took your time to leave a review. Because of the aluminum construction of the adapter it may feel warmer than plastic constructed adapters that may have used in the past. That being said if you feel that the adapter is getting too hot where it may cause damage I would recommend exchanging it at the retailer where you purchased it from or contact j5create customer support. Posted .In order to have the audio output through the device that you would prefer, such as through the television connected to the j5create USB adapter, it will require that you change the "Default playback device" for your computer.

Posted .Hi Cab4, when it comes to the JCA153G, compatibility will depend on the device in use with it. If your phone, tablet, or computer does not support video output capability via USB-C, you will not be able to output video using this model. Instead, we recommend the JCD381 for example which requires software installation and that will work for you.

I've tried it on my 48" TV/Monitor and my 40" TV/Monitor. I have a Type C >USB, works great. USB>HDMI works great. USB>VGA works great. This item works fine at the store where purchased.
