I bought this on 08/23/19, so I need to check my warranty and Best Buys return policy, I will be returning if possible. I've always had JVC units and never had any real issues. This one freezes pretty often and the only way to get it to respond at all is to turn off the vehicle. It also disconnects from bluetooth pretty often as well. The sound is not the best either, there is very little bass with this stereo and I am by no means a person who thumps and shakes the windows with my music either. I switched from the base model (no bluetooth) stock Jeep stereo and it sounded better than this, the sound has nothing to do with my speakers. I've read about it being hard to read/see the display, I have not had this issue.

used Geek Squat to install the radio on my 2005 Lincoln Aviator. It sounds awful and I have a Kenwood on my other car (jvc makes kenwood) and that other one sounds excellent. It sounds like im hearing AM Radio and I have toy around with the equalizer and the sound effect ( it basically like my kenwood) but still sounds awful.

Only thing is it take forever to come on so I don’t use backup camera

I had to go back 3 times. And ended up getting a new one put in and still having problems with this one. I put 600.00 in a car stereo so i could have a backup camera and i have to program my phone in to it everytime i get in my car. I am very disappointed.

I use this to listen to audible via bluetooth. it freezes so that nothing works until you stop and turn off the power. cant even turn it off, as buttons dont even wirk. frustrating when you are in rush hour traffic and want to listen.

This double din head unit is no where near what JVC use to produce.

The radio works great but I have to reset the whole system every so often cause it will not connect to my phone via Bluetooth. Once reset it does. The only drawback to doing this is i have to redo all the settings.

Didn't have the features I wanted but is still okay

This is good entry-level unit. I've switched to JVC because of good experiences with another unit. The bluetooth works well in my installation. You can easily customize the touchscreen interface and it's layout is fairly intuitive. Nothing that a quick glance in the manual or a question to my 10-year old couldn't answer :) Installation was straight forward, since I had the harness and the dash install kit. I would have let Best Buy do the installation since it was offered as "free", but they were booked solid for 3 weeks out. If you have installed a head unit in the last 5-10 years, you can install this one, provided it fits in your vehicle. Back-up camera install took longer than putting in the head unit, but the image is clear and responds quickly to input once unit has booted up. It is definitely worth picking up a back-up camera to install at the same time, since the unit has the capability. I would be wary of anything at a lower price point, or from Planet A or BO$$. This unit replaced a low-end Pioneer that, surprising to me, just wasn't any good for being a namebrand. My only gripe with this unit is that the start-up time is a little long. Not terrible, just longer than I would like.

The unit, majority of the time will reset to factory setting for no reason. I have read the instructions and it says to push small button on head unit to reset if unit is NOT operating correctly. I did that hoping that would help but no luck. Unit will not remember the settings even after using the memorize memory recall to my settings. Very unhappy with unit overall and unhappy with Best Buy very short return policy. I will NOT purchase any car audio product from best buy.

I am not sure how well this product works as I have not been able to contact my local Best Buy store to schedule installation. I have attempted to schedule online, call the store multiple times, and chat with and agent online and have not been able to speak with anyone. I would love to provide an accurate review, but unfortunately I have not been able to as of now.

I bought this to be installed as part of the purchase. The installation was canceled because of the virus. Instead of waiting until it was clear I was forced to pickup the order. When I picked up the order most of it had been returned. So now I am stuck with a part of my purchase that I can't use. I am not happy with best buy.

Bought this stereo so that I could play CDs.Less than one month after installation CD is stuck in the player and can't get appointment to have the stereo repaired or replaced. Would not recommend this product.

after two weeks were told installers do not work on corvettes. when salesmen are looking up for parts it should refuse options very disappointed could not get radio installed

I’ve been using JVC radios in my cars & trucks ever since high school. It’s the first time one dissatisfied me. The unit kept resetting itself and Bluetooth would sometimes be unresponsive.

There is a lot of static with the radio and the sound is not clear when listening to local radio stations. The Geek Squad worked had but could not get sound from my rear speakers.

Will not stay connected with a Bluetooth phone a big waste of money.

Didn’t get a chance to install it didn’t come with the wire harness

it turns off very often problems with Bluetooth, very malfunction
