Beware - known battery drain issues

Tech warned that they had reports of battery drain issues with this device (and the Kenwood equivalent). Warned what to look out for. 4 days after instal daughter is stranded on the side of the road with a dead battery and has to be jumped. Immediately worked with BB on a replacement. Tech was fantastic and super helpful, wish I'd listened 100% before installing and went with another unit.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT

Based on other recent and similar reviews it seems to be a problem with the radio and not the installation. I hope I don't have any issues with Best Buy customer service when resolving this.

Don’t buy!

Microphone is so bad it wouldn’t work for a phone conversation or voice text messaging. Worst microphone ever, even the installation technicians couldn’t believe how horrible it was. Don’t waste your time or money on this piece of junk. Thankfully the guys at bestbuy were easy to work with and very patient and helpful getting me through this process!

I made a appointment when I purchased the radio for the closet date they had that was 3 weeks away, a day before the appointment I got a email saying to pick up the parts needed to install... When I picked up the parts I was told no appointment was booked for me... They helped rebook another date that was 3 weeks away, but said it was the earliest they could do... well now 3 days before that appointment I was told the installer is out sick and they would have to rebook 3 more weeks out... I’m close to returning this.... 9 weeks for a instal..

Good when it works

John & Ron both very professional and great to have work on my car!! Returned this head unit because the volume button does not recognize the touch and takes 10x to change.

Can't make phone calls

I have tried iPhones 10,11 and 12 but it still doesn't matter. Apple Car Play connection the caller just hears themself echo, and Bluetooth calls they can't hear me at all. I have had it back to Best Buy two times at two different locations, and they can't seem to fix the issue. I would not recommend this at all.

Radio install

The installer couldn't get all controls to work as I was told by salesman. Installer didn't hook up integrated mic in car for phone. said it couldn't be done. what could he do? what did I pay extra for? Will definitely not recommend best buy for this service or car radio. will actually discourage anyone that asks.

The website wouldn’t let me select an install date. Go to store after the return period (didn’t want to return, wanted an install), they couldn’t figure out how to put it on the schedule. So I have a radio in a box.

FIRST, mirroring does not work. JVC is aware of this, and is doing nothing about it. SECOND, bluetooth is faulty. Works only when laired the first time, but doesnt auto pair and Ive tried three different phones. Days disconnected. THIRD, Best Buy, will not let me get something else instead. Since I installed this after the return period, they wont help me. Buyer Beware

They replaced it after a month. They replaced it with an aftermarket parts. I have water leaking in my car and it rattles. I don't recommend best buy . If this matter does not get fixed its civil court . Plus when I call no store manager is available. Only tech person who advised,best buy insurance only pass half of amount if I take if to dealer.

After installing, unit would not power at all, Out of stock in many of BB locations but found a replacement a long distant away. OEM form JVC missing wire in their harness which was the cause confirmed after getting replacement radio. Not the fault of BestBuy however spent 45 min on multiple phone calls, with 0% help from staff.

The installation crew did everything they could to make me happy after being sent from store to store for installation, but i was incredibly disappointed that BestBuy sold me a product that would not work for one of my childrens cars. The sad part is the product screen even said it's not compatible.
