    Purchased a car stereo & all the pieces that the tech told me to purchase. Get the stereo installed by tech. Go to pick it up & the stereo did not have the satellite hooked up. The only reason why I purchased the new radio was to get satellite radio. For some reason they didn't bother to let me know that the satellite radio didn't get hooked up. They told me I had everything that was needed to install radio !!? NOT !!

    I have no idea what this product is like because I waited a month for my product only to show up and he told they couldn’t install it anymore and someone forgot to call me to let me know. When I spoke to support on the phone, I got the run around for 2 hours and the best they could do was reschedule my appt and just hope for the best. Ridiculous!!!

    After a months lead time when I went for the install the said they didn’t have my radio. They should me and upgraded one then install one cheaper than the one I purchased. This is the second review they never published my first. The installer made a mess, broke pieces of my dash and bait n switched the radio. I will never purchase from Best Buy again.

    I have to plug my phone in using the usb to use anything other than am/fm radio. Half the time it says phone disconnected. Sometimes i’m driving using the gps map and “poof” it stops working and shows disconnected. JVC support is non- existent. Huge waste of money for me.

    Not to please with this unit at all. It keeps freezing then sometimes it shuts off and reboots by itself.

    I usually do not review my purchases because I do not have the time but the service we received from Vincent in the installation and this radio deserves a great review. I bought my 16 year old son a car without apple car play but i wanted to add this to prevent him from being detracted with google maps and apple music on his phone. The touch screen is awesome. The handfree talk is awesome also. I have the factory radio in storage and Best Buy will put it back into the car for free if we sell it and get a new car. They would charge to reinstall in a new car. It sounds much better also than the factory radio.

    absolute crap with less than a year...half the screen does not work and the top bar does not function anymore. Happened about 9-10 months in.

    Decent headset with good features, problem is it kept draining my car battery until it finally killed the starter. Happy to take the radio out and put the factory unit back in.

    199.99 what a great price for a awesome radio! Apple car play works flawlessly and the sound quality is top notch! At the 199.99 price I think it’s a steal! Highly recommend

    CarPlay stops working after a while

    It worked for like 2 years no problem then recently I was driving and in the middle of the drive CarPlay just stopped working. We took the whole unit out and checked all the wire connections and nothing was unplugged. We have not been able to figure out why. It was pricey so it is a bummer that is decided to stop working. The reason I bought it was for CarPlay and having the map on the unit so I could see directions without using my phone. I’m so annoyed with this purchase and now I’m scared to spend money on a new one just to get ripped off again

    i bought this in november last year for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler its perfect since my old one didnt have blutooth but the only probably i have is right now is the top right corner all of sudden quit on me like its not touchscreen no more. i was just if you giys who bought tvis had the same issue?

    It was a good car stereo system. It lasted for 5 years. The LED screen malfunctioned where the bottom 2/3 of the screen was only responsive.

    So, we had it installed at an aftermarket shop, & it went well. Once we put android auto on (the whole reason we chose THIS model) it worked GREAT...until we turned the volume up. After a few minutes of play with the volume at 25 (out of 40) it shut android auto off & said unsupported device. We unplugged & replugged it several times with the same outcome. In this day & age of hands free...we thought this was a great choice...it wasnt. If android auto is your priority, move to a different head unit

    Worked well while it worked, right up until it no longer worked. Bought new and in 8 months it would randomly stop playing music. Then it started crackling really loudly. Shut the vehicle off and restart and its like nothing ever happened, until it happens again. Sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes 2 hours. But that crackle is absolutely coming back!!!

    Do not buy this, I’m out $500 nonfunctioning

    Do not buy this, there are software issues with it and JVC has no software updates available and expects me to pay to take it of my car and ship it to them so they can look at it. Best Buy refuses to help because I’m 2 months outside of the 1-year warranty even though I did bring it in with the warranty a few months ago and they said it was fixed and sent me on my way. Now they are saying I’m outside the warranty and refuse to do anything. I’m out $500 with a non-functioning radio after less than a year and a half. It disconnects my iPhone randomly and won’t reconnect. Do not buy this product.

    I purchased this stereo for my son to replace an old NAVI head unit that I purchased for the car when new in 2008. I specifically purchased the JVC because it stated it was Andorid Auto compatible. IT IS NOT. The stereo requires you to install JVC's app before it will connect. It will only connect, even with the app installed, about 50% of the time and then if you ask it to do anything, it disconnects. If you can keep it connected long enough to do anything, the audio is laggy and periodically drops out. I can't speak to the Car Play functionality but the Android Auto support is essentially non-existant. Do not buy this stereo for Andorid functionality. You will be disappointed.

    Why are most of these reviews with a different name but have the same photos in them and the same person in the reflection of one of the photos?! This is very very concerning to me and makes me want to not buy this product or anything from Best Buy now.
