I was told that the necessary electrical Harness for complete installation was missing and I would have to purchase it elsewhere. This proved to be a daunting experience, so, I returned the unit as being USELESS!

Cheap poorly made junk. Freezes and blacks out regularly. Spend the extra for a better unit.

Poor sound quality. Wasted my time installing this junk. Geek squad did all they could to get the noise down.

Didn’t work when I purchased so I returned it, employee put item pack on the shelf after I informed them it didn’t work.

Product not compatible with vehicle. Witing fried, shorted electrical system.

We purchased this Feb 27 2021. Today, March 15 and it quit working. Dead.

Hi this was just installed & it's fair, there is only 1 fm, so you have to go through 20++ presets to get to that station, as opposed to multiple fm preset blocks of 5 stations that i can group by genre... disappointing bluetooth music & calls over the system are great i've not played any cd or dvds yet the biggest draw back is the gym reception is horrible as compared to my factory radio i used to get 89.3 & 89.9 perfectly but now not at all, i have to app the station WMKVFM Geek Squad Rocks'! could use an angle install bracket but hey i wanted a dvd player owise i'd recommend one of them there new fangled gizmos

Still learning it but itself working nicely. :) Fancier than the factory install so I'll take me some time to read the manual. ;)

I liked pretty much everything about this product, i bought it in store for my 04 silverado and it sounds amazing and it has all the features

The JVC 6.8" Android In Dash CD/DVD is a wonderful system to listen to. We are using the FM radio and the CD so far. Every thing is working very well. Looking forward to many years of use! Charles Burney

This is a dream addition for my car!!! I have great screen for navigation, a back up camera for parking AND it plays CDs AND DVDs for long drives. I love listening to my favorite movies that still make me laugh. I hit the jackpot with this one!!!

Its a good radio. Just one down fall. They said it has a remote. But when i receive mine it didnt have a remote.

Good JVC system but the XM should be included in the price of the system..

1: The UI for the Android media player component needs work (it doesn't display album titles yet the bluetooth and USB player do). I thought it was a flaw in VLC, but I find MediaMonkey shows the exact same UI, so I have to presume it's part of Android Auto. Since the BT and USB can handle a far better display of track info, there's no excuse for the AA player to be so bad. 2: The CD player doesn't read CD-Text (I verified the disk has valid CD-Text in my wife's factory radio, which displayed it just fine). 3: The unit cannot read MP3 files from CD-R disks or DVD R disks. Again I confirmed the CD-R disk was perfectly readable and playable in my wife's car with a standard factory radio. These disks ALSO used to work in my previous single-DIN deck.  4: the UI is hard to see, hard to navigate, and I'd have to take my eyes off the road too much to really make use of it. I could navigate through media using my phone, but if I'm having to do that, having a double-DIN touch screen dash unit becomes superfluous and a waste of money and the time to install it. 5: should be a simple task of bringing up a list of folders on a USB or bluetooth connection to scroll through (with letter shortcuts). The only way to meaningfully navigate through it is to STOP the car and fiddle with the screens. At which point I might as well have been using my phone on a basic single-DIN dash unit (my old single-DIN JVC player didn't have bluetooth, which was the first thing that made me think of replacing it). 6: the phone dialer should also be easier to do phonebook lookups in. You have to spend far too much time looking at the display to find a number, which means you're taking your eyes off the road WAY too much. These could probably be addressed with a firmware update, but it seems JVC have no interest in ever updating this radio, so you're forever stuck with the bad programming and substandard UI from 2020 (it was a Xmas gift in 2023) until such time as you replace it with a better-designed unit.
