The sound was good but I didn't like the interface and Pandora never worked with my Pixel 2 XL. I returned this for the Sony xav-ax100 with Android Auto

My old radio went out and I needed a replacement. This one is pretty solid. Comes with a dvd player and I got it because I like to have a volume knob although the ones without a volume knob look nicer.

    Perfect upgrade

After owning the Pioneer AVIC- X940BT for many years, it had grown tired of the poor user interface and no longer needed the GPS function. The criteria of the replacement was simple: intuitive user interface. While this was the main requirement, I also wanted DVD playback, rear view camera capability, steering wheel control, etc. After a month or so of research, I selected the Kenwood. The price at purchase($268 including tax) was well within budget. The interface is very user friendly. Settings are easy to find and the touch screen is flawless. The main screens are well organized and finding anything is easy. The audio control section is a audiofile's dream without being too complicated for the average user. The sound from the built in amplifier works well with the factory speakers in my car and the power is ample. Other features like subwoofer, crossover, sound stage, etc. are great additions and really bring the sound in the car to the next level. DVD playback is fairly quick and clear. The radio is clear and can receive on par with all other radios I have compared it to. The rear view comes up quickly and looks great. Bluetooth phone and audio work as expect:quick to connect, easy to make and receive calls, easy Podcast/music playback. I have yet to use any of the apps (iHeart radio, Pandora, etc.). Installation was also very easy including connecting to the steering wheel controls using my old Axxess ASWC-1 interface. I'm sure I will come across a few things that I my not like 100% but so far, so good.

This dreamy works for me. On the unit I had I couldn't see the screen, but this full face gives me better illumination and display. A little hard to get used to the set up, but once there all is good

Have had this radio for about a month and so far so good. It has difficulty connecting to things via Bluetooth at times but I really only wanted a new radio so this does the trick

This receiver is pretty nice. The only complaint that I have is that the auto dim feature is kind of wonky making it hard to see during the day and too bright at night.

This is a great unit... especially for the price. All the features work seamlessly. There is a slight delay when connecting and disconnect calls but it's no big deal. I installed myself and it was a breeze. Highly recommend!

So we've had this radio in a 2010 Prius for about 4 months now. When the radio was installed we lost steering wheel controls because there was no adapter for our car. It works OK however it is a real hassle trying to pair another phone or Bluetooth device once something else was paired. Also the Pandora app is useless we always just use the Bluetooth device menu when using Pandora. The screens aren't very customizable and the screen does sometimes seem to not be as responsive as I like.

Kenwood used to mean something and take pride in their quality; Apparently those days are no more. This stereo has been nothing short of problematic and frankly I wish I could swap it out and get my money back. The bluetooth is hit and miss on connectivity and frequently "lock up" where I have to pull over and reset the vehicle or hold down the Power and another button to preform a hard reset. The volume increases considerably when there is a call that connects and when the call concludes, the radio sound is notably louder than when you took the call. I've reached out to customer service at Kenwood and had no response other than the canned response via auto generated email. Either way, save your money for another brand and keep looking. The only reason I gave this two stars instead of one is that the sound is clear from the unit...when it works.

Radio is great, volume knob is a little small or too close to the side for me. Phone operation is fine for rec. calls, but verbal commands are a little spotty.
