It plays some days
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The CD eject is 3 menus deep, the dimmer never worked so it looked like a spotlight shining at me during the night. Not easy to operate, the Android Auto interface worked when it felt like it (yes it had the latest software), it is just not a user friendly device especially when you are driving. I ended up buying a Pioneer AVH-W4500NEX which has been stellar in it's performance. It was a deal of the day for $75 more then this unit and everything works.

Good price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Price is not too high for the brand, yet it does not match the ddx7 features, such as more equality options, disc opening closing, motorized screen positioning

Discontinued, but not worth the money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is Discontinued now, but had I known what it would do and wouldn't do, I would have gone with a lower end head unit. This is not bad, but you need some interface connection and (for an extra price) and then it would show you the RPM's, and your car's diagnostics.... but they don't say that the specific part only goes for particular vehicles.

Screwed me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It only gets one star because it’s still in the box on a shelf After Best Buy wouldn’t follow up on their so called free installation which is the only reason I bought it from them was for the free installation so I’ll never buy anything car audio from Best Buy again

Makes me feel old, but it sounds great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Negatives: Why is cd-eject hidden in the att menu?? Att does not attenuate, it is just a menu. Positives: sound quality is amazing moving between folders on usb drive is fast too many to list, still learning I am having phone connecting trouble, but I think it is my phone because I had similar experiences with previous head unit.

maddening technology. hit or miss
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will update this review if things improve, but so far I've spent more time trying to get my phone to simply WORK with android auto on this radio than I have spent even using the stupid thing. first time using it, my phone worked fine. zero issues. next day wont work, error messages on kenwood device not supported or something along those lines. deleted android auto app from phone, downloaded it again and did the entire setup procedure and it worked. turned radio off several times, unplugging phone and reconnecting everything to make sure it works and it worked every time. next day get in car, doesnt work again. lol. maddening to say the least. deleted AA app again ,reinstalled app, setup everything again and now it works. turned car off, unplugged usb from phone, shut phone off , did the entire procedure of getting in the car half a dozen times and it is working as of today 5/23. we shall see what tomorrow holds when I use it. This is EXACTLY what I didn't want. to spend more time trying to make something work than actually being able to use it. A product that is suppose to make my life EASIER is in actuality making me want to shoot my face off. using an android /motorolla g6 all apps updated current . when my g6 had error messages and didnt work on the kenwood, I plugged in my wifes old G7 motorolla and that phone worked. plugged back in my g6 and still wouldnt work until I went through the song and dance of uninstalling AA app on my g6 and re-installing. worst case scenario if my g6 keeps NOT working on this kenwood, I will activate the spare g7. but either way you slice it, this is turning into a complete waste of time for a product that is supposed to WORK. I have cheap $30 BT speakers from amazon that work every single time with every single phone I've ever owned. Why doesn't a $500 radio WORK?
