This radio for the price is a very good buy it is a good quality radio touch screen and the Bluetooth works perfect on it not to mention it is slim compared to most double din radios so there is less chance of cutting and so on sound quality is great

Outstanding Kenwood Head Unit! Has every feature to fully update your car system. Easy installation, Android Auto and Apple Car Play work seamlessly. Amazing sound quality and the custom EQ is a plus. Can't go wrong with this Kenwood

I love my new radio. I recently had it installed and it works great! It’s easy to navigate, it has Apple CarPlay which is all I use and one really awesome feature is the OBD2 capabilities. You can check the codes right from your stereo whenever your check engine light is on and you can also reset the codes too. I had a gas cap code the kept me from being able to use my remote start on my Jeep Wrangler. I was able to reset it straight from my radio! It’s amazing! I am very satisfied with it and I would most definitely recommend it!!! Also includes free installation with purchase! What an great all-around experience!

It was so easy to install and the apply car play works great. The sound is awesome with lots of power to deliver great sound. I like how you can set your own EQ levels. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to my friends.

So far so good with this one. I love using carplay with it. It’s awesome being able to ask for any song i want to hear and the carplay navigation is so much better than on the phone alone. People report that the hands free microphone is working well (clearly). I love that the unit has many options for customizing everything from microphone sensitivity to input specific volume and eq settings. Hooking up cameras is the next step for me. I needed a shallow depth unit and it was this or the alpine unit. I am more than convinced the kenwood is worth the extra money.

Awesome unit for my 2011 Silverado! Replaced a 7 year old pioneer unit because I wanted apple CarPlay and I must say the audio is way better! I wish I had switched sooner. Wireless apple CarPlay and android auto is a bonus! Crutchfield says it doesn’t fit my dash but not true, it fits perfectly! A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. You can get the model down that doesn’t have wireless and save $200.

I really like this unit. When you connect an Android phone, it provides all of the functionality of a more expensive receiver that has a separate GPS unit. Phone-related functions work well. Sound quality, from Pandora to podcasts, has been great. The ability to use Google Assistant with voice commands is an especially nice feature. It's made driving a ten-year-old car a much more enjoyable experience. I would recommend that a buyer consider also installing the Maestro unit to be able to read tire pressure and other sensors through the receiver's interface. The installer did a great job and explained how the system worked very thoroughly. This purchase has been a great experience.

I went through 2 other radios from a different mom and pop installation store and the service was HORRIBLE. I have in a went to try Best Buy and I should have done this first. This Kenwood has great features for the price and the search is over. I bought two of these and got them installed by Geek squad. Excellent service and products. I highly recommend this radio. What I like about this double din is how easy it is to navigate through the features quickly while driving. The touch screen is responsive unlike the other ones I had tried within the last two months. The screen dimmer is more than what I expected and absolutely love how I can blackout the screen but still listen to music.

Apple CarPlay is awesome its like your on your iphone on the radio. It has google maps if you have that on your phone also the iphone version of google maps through apple CarPlay. You do have the option of a regular radio, and the controls for that are not difficult. The sound quality is through the roof. And the buttons light up you can choose one certain color or it can cycle through different colors, and if you get it installed through Geek Squad you get a LIFETIME WARRANTY that lasts as long as the car they put it in!!!! The guy the puts it in at the Hoover, AL location is supppppper fun to watch do it and to learn from if you have a interest in doing something similar or the same thing in the future!!

Pros : easy to use. Can use backup camera w/o being in reverse. Sleek look. Cons : no auto adjust for screen brightness. Need higher end cell that is fast enough to run more than one app at a time otherwise radio unresponsive. Too safety sensitive when using radio to search thru phone contacts. Only when using youtube music can car radio controls control app, using regular youtube, one must control it thru phone. Overall it's...ok. I wish tho that i would have stayed with my lifelong practice of staying with Sony for my car audio purchases.

Installation was fast and very professional. The radio has all the features I wanted and is very easy to use. Works seamlessly with my factory steering wheel controls!

I upgraded from an extremely dated system. Took ten seconds to register my backup camera. OS was so counter intuitive to the point I didn't use it. This system was HUGE upgrade. Wireless connect is great! I had extra work done like back up camera, which comes on immediately! And I also had them install connection/power cord for apple/android in my cigarette lighter which I haven't used in 20 years in any car. NO WIRES is awesome! System connects to phone flawlessly. AND surprisingly there is a hidden DVD in unit which I found out after and didn't care about but hey, icing on the cake, right?

I am enjoying this purchase. It was easy to setup and easy to use. The only negative at this point is I am a sports radio / talk radio listener and the AM reception is not that good and sometimes to annoying with all the static to listen too. Not sure this is deficiency in unit as it sounds like this is something all aftermarket equipment might face.

The receiver is great for Sirius radio and the layout is easy to use. The only reason I give 4 of 5 starts is the Android auto app. If you are plugged in you can't access music stored on your phone, only music apps. It also doesn't alert you when emails come in. Also it can take up 2-3 min to connect your phone to the unit. This might be an issue with Android auto and not the receiver; this is my first experience with this app.

The wireless Android Auto is a great improvement, however it takes a few minutes to get started. The touchscreen works very well like a cell phone. The screen is beautiful. It is very easy to navigate and set up. All of the apps you can use for music are amazing. Do some research and look into what works with Android Auto. Added a backup camera which turns on the screen when in reverse, this is awesome! Why it doesn't get a 5- When using the wired connection it goes in and out constantly. The wireless/usb screenshare is a headache. It never works consistently. To use this feature you have to have the parking brake enabled, by law.

Love it! Works great on my samsung s22 ultra. The wireless features are amazing. Has more camera plugs and a second usb to play music on a usb stick.

Started out with the Kenwood DMX7706 and wasn't happy with the refinement of the interface. Switching between functions seemed to confuse the receiver sometimes and there would be little glitches. For example every so often the album art wouldn't pop up while using Spotify or voice commands wouldn't work. Wasn't sure if it was Android Auto, Kenwood or both that was having the issue. Returned the DMX7706 and "upgraded" to this receiver for the wireless Android Auto because the problems mainly occured while connected through the USB. Holy crap what a waste of the extra $120. This receiver is even worse, both wireless and connected through the USB. Using Spotify there's a HUGE lag while selecting the next track, the lag is so bad that it's literally pathetic and inexcusable. With both Kenwood receivers there are different screens you can scroll through depending on what information you want showing. The DMX7706 would scroll smoothly between screens, this receiver is annoyingly unresponsive unless you swipe it perfectly. The wireless Android Auto feature is complete crap too, despite my phone being 2 inches from the receiver the connection will just drop for no explainable reason. Definitely not what you want while trying to use maps causing you to miss a turn. Oh not to mention theres also a slight lag between your actual location and the screen. Some of the blame can be placed on Android Auto but the majority of blame can be placed on Kenwood. Which is obviously why basically every review lists primarily Pioneer as there top choice for Android Auto/Apple Car Play receivers. I don't particularly like the look of Pioneer which is why I went with Kenwood, but at this point I'm willing to sacrifice looks for function. Oh and don't even get me started on the lack of directions in the owners manual. It explains the basics and that's it, no in depth info at all. Such a disappointing joke. This receiver has the price tag of a nice tablet and comes no where close to functioning as well.

Best Buy install of this was really amazing. The tech was so good and took time to explain everything - really impressed. Deck sounds really great and gave lots of life to the factory speakers. Carplay works really well (the reason I bought it) and seems to be nice and responsive. I think the other built-in interfaces could be a little friendlier to use and honestly aren't the prettiest to look at. It's not really intuitive to tune the radio and I wish the presets were easier to use, but I would still recommend​ highly - especially for the CarPlay. Installed in 09 Subaru with no issues.

Got this installed on my 2010 Taco and it's been great. All the features work perfectly, including the wireless CarPlay.
