Just had this installed and it is a great radio. Sound is excellent and it is customisable to suit your individual taste. The Android interface is easy to use. All hands free features and Bluetooth work well. This replaced an Alpine unit that was initally installed but was not acceptable. If you are looking for a Quality radio, this is it.

Purchased and had geeksquad installed around xmas of 2017 ($400 for unit without install) Bluetooth & user interface not as responsive as the 1 yr older pioneer 4100nex unit in my other car. I have samsung GS7 & sometimes when I get back into car it forgets my bluethooth connection, what a hassle to re-link manually again. 2 things that it is better than the pioneer is that the initial warning screen goes away automatically after 10 secs which on the pioneer you have to click "ok". This unit has a dedicated button to access rear cam. Album art displays full screen on pioneer, only a small corner on kenwood. Pioneer has animated background kenwood does not. Something to consider. My 2010 toyota FJ's does not have as good as volume with the oem sub-woofer after installing this kenwood in it. You have to turn the volume way up to hear the sub. I've check latest firmware as of jan 2018, no new firmware to fix these bugs I wanted to point out Caleb(Geeksquad) technician was awesome in working with me after to troubleshoot issues with cam, phone, settings, etc... Bestbuy is lucky to have him.

This stereo meets all expectations. Seamless wireless mirror and Android auto works amazing!!!

The ease of use of this radio is underrated, along with being able to connect through bluetooth, aux cord, or usb cable. The radio has an equalizer and crossfade controls, so you can adjust the sound to how you like. This radio also has fm,am, and siriusXM for you to choose from. Carplay and Android auto is a huge benefit because a lot of options leave the android out and only focus on apple carplay. Do yourself a favor and have bestbuy install this unit, it can be difficult to get a perfect fit on your own.

I replaced a 10 year old radio. This one sounds 10 times better quality. It works great with my Iphone. I added the front and rear cameras which work good also. I like that I can use the 7" display for playback. The only complaint that I have is I wish the screen was non glare. It is a great system!

It's hard for me to believe that the other reviewers missed this, but after trying three units I'm quite sure they did. If you use Apple CarPlay with this unit, it pegs the navigation volume at really high. You cannot adjust it via the head unit and you cannot adjust it via the iPhone. It's loud enough that you can't talk over it and is quite shocking unless it comes on when you're already listening to loud music. The seller told me we could change the volume only when the prompts are on. True... for Pioneer, not true for Kenwood. Two conversations with Kenwood is that it can be controlled by the master volume and iPhone only, but unfortunately both people I spoke with don't even have an iPhone, and sadly this is not true. It ignores volume settings for navigation and maps and ignores the master volume unless it's at 0. All three told me different ways to change the volume (none the same) and all three could not actually tell me where to do so on the unit or the phone. Basically, it's a problem that's not acknowledged, so chances it ever gets fixed is nill. It probably works great for Android, the music is good, but if you plan to use CarPlay and Navigation look elsewhere. I welcome comments to tell me how to do it, but only if you have. I've already heard that from people who don't know.

Great sound. Has everything you would need for media options. Go for it.

10/10 recommend this double din radio to anyone who wants to jazz up their car. Made me feel like I went from an ‘05 to a 2015!

I bought this at first was great. Then I bought the new iPhone 15 pro max and since there is no firmware update I have to spend another $500 because they do not have an update available. No assistance from customer support. Probably gonna get a different brand.

radio didnt hold up too long. only lasted a little bit over 2 years before it randomly cuts out after about 5-10 minutes of playing. never had a issue with kenwood products before so might of just got a bad one but expected better. other than that it was a nice radio with good features

I had connectivity issues with my alpine so i switched to this kenwood and it solved my issues. However the alpine (Even tho its customization is extremely sub par) is still a superior stereo even with android auto not working with my phone. The bezel is extremely intrusive to the menu most buttons for anything often are small and right to the edge of the screen causing you to have to move your fingers and odd angles to actually press the screen. And the screen!!! here is another major con.... Anyone thats used to a POS machine from your local target from the 90's will know what im talking about. super cheap feeling and not to mention the fact it takes an abnormal amount of force to actually register which coupled with the issue above about the bezel makes for an very lackluster experience. the physical buttons on the bottom are also cheap feeling. Making you go back to the days of cheap cd players. The menu was stated as easy to use which i agree with everything except the tuner menu its cumbersome and terrible to use. i shouldn't have to sift through menus to get to presets. it should be open to muscle memory to avoid looking at the stereo for more then half a second. The pros is it does support iDatalink Maestro but this is only a pro for anyone putting this in a newer car.

After installation, I was happy but not overwhelmed. But the real excitement came when my wife jumped in the passenger seat in her white shirt. I couldn’t see the screen. The glare, even on the cloudiest of days, washed out the screen. I don’t k ow about you but I just hate seeing my screen. I like adventure so having Waze on without being able to see it adds a magnanimous excitement and thrill for adventurousness. I returned the unit, perhaps someone else out there needs a screen they can’t see. I purchased an Alpine wireless car play unit. Best Buy was solid and made the exchange and reinstall painless.
