So far so good with this one. I love using carplay with it. It’s awesome being able to ask for any song i want to hear and the carplay navigation is so much better than on the phone alone. People report that the hands free microphone is working well (clearly). I love that the unit has many options for customizing everything from microphone sensitivity to input specific volume and eq settings. Hooking up cameras is the next step for me. I needed a shallow depth unit and it was this or the alpine unit. I am more than convinced the kenwood is worth the extra money.

It was so easy to install and the apply car play works great. The sound is awesome with lots of power to deliver great sound. I like how you can set your own EQ levels. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to my friends.

I really like this unit. When you connect an Android phone, it provides all of the functionality of a more expensive receiver that has a separate GPS unit. Phone-related functions work well. Sound quality, from Pandora to podcasts, has been great. The ability to use Google Assistant with voice commands is an especially nice feature. It's made driving a ten-year-old car a much more enjoyable experience. I would recommend that a buyer consider also installing the Maestro unit to be able to read tire pressure and other sensors through the receiver's interface. The installer did a great job and explained how the system worked very thoroughly. This purchase has been a great experience.

I went through 2 other radios from a different mom and pop installation store and the service was HORRIBLE. I have in a went to try Best Buy and I should have done this first. This Kenwood has great features for the price and the search is over. I bought two of these and got them installed by Geek squad. Excellent service and products. I highly recommend this radio. What I like about this double din is how easy it is to navigate through the features quickly while driving. The touch screen is responsive unlike the other ones I had tried within the last two months. The screen dimmer is more than what I expected and absolutely love how I can blackout the screen but still listen to music.

Apple CarPlay is awesome its like your on your iphone on the radio. It has google maps if you have that on your phone also the iphone version of google maps through apple CarPlay. You do have the option of a regular radio, and the controls for that are not difficult. The sound quality is through the roof. And the buttons light up you can choose one certain color or it can cycle through different colors, and if you get it installed through Geek Squad you get a LIFETIME WARRANTY that lasts as long as the car they put it in!!!! The guy the puts it in at the Hoover, AL location is supppppper fun to watch do it and to learn from if you have a interest in doing something similar or the same thing in the future!!

Installation was fast and very professional. The radio has all the features I wanted and is very easy to use. Works seamlessly with my factory steering wheel controls!

Pros : easy to use. Can use backup camera w/o being in reverse. Sleek look. Cons : no auto adjust for screen brightness. Need higher end cell that is fast enough to run more than one app at a time otherwise radio unresponsive. Too safety sensitive when using radio to search thru phone contacts. Only when using youtube music can car radio controls control app, using regular youtube, one must control it thru phone. Overall it's...ok. I wish tho that i would have stayed with my lifelong practice of staying with Sony for my car audio purchases.

The wireless Android Auto is a great improvement, however it takes a few minutes to get started. The touchscreen works very well like a cell phone. The screen is beautiful. It is very easy to navigate and set up. All of the apps you can use for music are amazing. Do some research and look into what works with Android Auto. Added a backup camera which turns on the screen when in reverse, this is awesome! Why it doesn't get a 5- When using the wired connection it goes in and out constantly. The wireless/usb screenshare is a headache. It never works consistently. To use this feature you have to have the parking brake enabled, by law.

Best Buy install of this was really amazing. The tech was so good and took time to explain everything - really impressed. Deck sounds really great and gave lots of life to the factory speakers. Carplay works really well (the reason I bought it) and seems to be nice and responsive. I think the other built-in interfaces could be a little friendlier to use and honestly aren't the prettiest to look at. It's not really intuitive to tune the radio and I wish the presets were easier to use, but I would still recommend​ highly - especially for the CarPlay. Installed in 09 Subaru with no issues.

I bought this receiver to replace the OEM in my motorhome. It comes with everything I was wanting; Bluetooth, Apple Play, and no disc player. It cost way less than what I was expecting to pay and easy to use. Sounds great especially after setting the built-in equalizer to match the type of music I listen to. The equalizer has multi memory settings to easily switch between depending on what type of music your listening at the time. I would definitely recommend this receiver.

I had this unit installed in my 2012 Jeep Liberty and it works great! To use Android Auto you need the app and have to use the USB plug in. A good data transfer cord is necessary. I had one cord that didn't work, but a second one did. Android Auto won't show up on the screen until it links with the phone. The sound is great and, it's easy to use once you refer to the owners manual a couple times. Plus it's a serious upgrade from the stock stereo.

I absolutely love this radio! Perfect for Android or iPhone users. Sound quality is amazing and the functionality is great. There are so many options with using this product. Using Google Maps on this radio is seemless and makes it very easy to follow driving directions. I also love how I can control the volume or even mute the talk back feature for the directions. I also love it because even while using it the phone is still fully functional as well.

First one out of the box would not work. Had to return and order another. Had to wait for another appointment for installation 2 weeks. Biggest complaint is that sometimes the glare makes the screen hard to see. Not too big a deal until you are using it for directions in a large city.. Still, Great sound and I am totally happy with this radio. Would recommend to my friends.

This changed my life! I finally caught up to the 20th century & hired the best buy squad to install this quality system. Amazing how it sounds in my Denali. Still using 2005 factiry speakers. I have an iphone 13pro & works great. I wish j fudnt have to plug it in to use apple play, but based on the quality, I’m fine with the plug. I woukd recommend!

This replaces a 17 year old oem 6cd OEM radio. Worlds better and actually brings the car up to date with most current features. Sounds good with the built in amps. Sounds REAL good with a high end serparate amp. Of course you need to update your speakers. The equalizer is very effective. Android auto works without a glitch. SiriusXM integrates nicely and sounds very good. Took a couple of hours to wire the Metra harness and install myself.

Finally decided to upgrade the radio in my 2007 Hummer H2. Love all the features, especially the Apple CarPlay. Looks like it was meant to be installed in my Hummer. Sounds great. CarPlay lets me listen to my library of songs, Apple Music, It speaks my text message and lets me respond with my voice. Navigation on screen is great and there are a ton of customizable features. KENWOOD has never let me down.

I've had this radio for a month now. Apple CarPlay works great with an iPhone 11, 11po, and Xs Max. Touch screen is responsive and seldom to I have to touch a tab more than once. Setup is easy to go through and took very little time. Settings, well there are a bunch of them but the manual explains most of them. I do wish it had HD Radio but the channels always come in clear. I would reccomend this radio for anyone.

If you're and audiophile then this radio is perfect for you. It will let you tune your system in more ways then most people should. Kenwood has always been one of my favorite brands and still is. This thing is beautiful, easy to use and feature packed. However, it is possible to make too many adjustments and make it sound like garbage. Luckily, you can easily reset the sound to default and you're good again!
