...I keep having to plug and unplug the USB to get the phone to work! That may be a problem with the Maestro interface (and I have spoken with other Mustang owners that have not suffered this insufferable problem!) but I know it is not the phone as it works just fine with my Dodge Ram. I cannot call and it refuses to read text messages which does not happen with my Android Auto capable OEM radio in my Ram. It is very frustrating. But otherwise, the unit is excellent! If anyone else has this problem and knows what the heck is going on, I hope to read it here. I am getting ready to return the unit and upgrade to a more expensive model just to get this problem to go away! This phone problem is the ONLY reason I cannot recommend an otherwise great product. Maybe if I upgrade to a more expensive unit I will be able to use it as it is intended?! I like Kenwood but this radio is driving me nutso, LOL!

Kenwood, you expect quality. I purchased for my 2004 Ford Explorer, looks great. I wanted both Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. They both work great. Good quality sound, pairing with Xplod speakers. So far, no issues. Couldn't be happier.

This is a great little device, however, it is very hard to figure out customization aspects and I still after reading the entire manual can’t figure out how in the world apple car play would work. The Bluetooth works, the microphone is decent. If you aren’t super worried about money, I might go with a more expensive one. I just wanted Bluetooth capability and it does that. Can’t watch videos on it, doesn’t show album art, and the buttons are quite small along the bottom. Sometimes the Bluetooth audio cuts out but it could be my phone so. I don’t know, it’s not the best, not the worst.

The Kenwood 7" Android Receiver is a great product. It was easy to learn the many features. With the built-in-Bluetooth it was simple to connect to my phone. The only recommendation I have is don't install it yourself. Take it to a profession stereo installer.

This unit is a beast. The sound quality, screen image, EQ and android auto are better than expected, especially considering the price. This is a must have if you do not have navigation or want to upgrade your car and add a back up camera.

Apple CarPlay is a nice upgrade, I just wish it didn't require a direct connection to my phone. The backup camera function works well and the bluetooth works well with my phone for calls and pandora.

I bought this to replace a Pioneer that I had for two weeks and returned b/c the bluetooth call quality was so poor. The Kenwood is so much better! It was more expensive, but so far, it's been worth it. No issues with bluetooth or phone quality, and works great w/the free SiriusXM tuner that was part of the package deal. I had to replace my USB port and cable to get Android Auto to work with my Samsung S20U phone, but those were several years old anyway and now I don't have any problems. My only complaint is the row of buttons along the bottom sticks out quite a bit, which seems like an odd design, but I like that the color of the buttons is customizable.

overall easy UI and simple to navigate around, Apple CarPlay works really good with this receiver, had some small bugs but I assumed it had to do deal with the iOS 13 beta I had installed on my phone. Bumped up the power out on the car stereo speakers as well

Had to replace my car radio. This is fairly easy one to work & is compatible with my 2015 Jeep. My one complaint is it doesn’t change through all the stations I saved plus it has channels preprogrammed that you can’t get rid of. It has good sound & works with my IPhone. I would recommend it

Sounds nice, samsung play works good. Plug phone in and apps on dash board including your GPS which is awesome. Bluetooth syncs quick when you hop in. Wish they had better wallpaper/display options but cool equalizer and can set speaker size and then some.

This was a great purchase. Having CarPlay is an amazing addition. No more having to look at my phone for anything. It all comes through the stereo. No more needing to look at my phone for direction, texts or just about anything. Even other apps that have voice recordings come through. There is a ton of features that I’ve not even been close to use. Having to plug in your phone through the usb is no problem either plus it charges your phone so I don’t even care that CarPlay isn’t wireless. It would have just killed my phone battery faster anyway. Yes Bluetooth works as well. I can’t see myself using it though unless I’m just going for a quick ride. Don’t hesitate on this purchase. Just get it and you’ll be happy. The installation from BestBuy was top notch as well. I would never hesitate to use them for anything that goes in my car.

This a really great display for the price. It doesn't have CD which in 2020 not a bad way to go since I can't even remember the last time I've bought a CD. Has every other feature I can think of as well as android auto and apple CarPlay.

This has been perfect for me. Displays my back up camera perfectly and gives you the freedom you look for in an aftermarket receiver. response quickly and is very good quality. Blows the competition at this price out of the water.

Bought this for our daughter's 2015 Honda CRV that did not have a navigation system or Apple Play (but did have a display). Our biggest issue was determining what system((s) would work in this vehicle to provide Apple Play and maintain camera functionality, and what add-ons were needed to get it to interface & install properly. The guys in the Geek Squad auto installation department in Pasadena (Eddie & others) could not have been more helpful! They told us the parts we needed and got the unit installed and up & running. They even managed to install it so that the right side-view mirror and rear cameras still worked! She could not be happier and we are glad she no longer drives while trying to navigate with her small phone screen!

The KENWOOD has work perfect with a smart phone plugged into it the music on your phone is easy to access and the GPS works great but your phone must be hooked to it. Great product and the installation looks factory.

Amazed how apple play works. Makes life easier playing music and having Waze at the same time specially living in a city filled with traffic non stop. Great unit and great sound.

The equalizer on this deck is prime! Clarity of screen is great. Sound quality is awesome. I wish it had the 5v preout but still has great response time. The andriod auto works flawless which was a huge bonus for me.

I just purchased this head unit a couple of days ago, I have the speakers running off a 4 channel kenwood amp..So I cant speak on the power from the unit itself. But I can speak on the features and how it fit so easily in the dash of my Hyundai Elantra because of the short chassis ...The unit is very easy to figure out, the only down side is the manual sucks. To get the full manual you have to go on the website(not a big deal),I was going get a pioneer like i always do, not regrets going with kenwood on this one...

Everything I needed in a head unit!!! I just had this installed at the Highland, In location by Jeremy and this model is perfect for my daily needs. I have a iPhone XSMax and CarPlay works flawlessly everything came right through the radio, including my navigation on my recent trip to Wisconsin Dells. I’ll be having the back camera added to the unit next and likely a front camera as well.

Radio sounds fantastic! Apple car play connects easily and works as it should. We like the color and screen design options this radio offers and the reason we went with this one vs others. Very pleased with this purchase.
