I bought the Kenwood to replace a Pioneer car stereo, previously installed by Best Buy, but which seemed to have a weak receiver, especially for a local classical station. The original Toyota stereo worked very well until the CD player crashed, which necessitated replacing it. Sad to say the Kenwood worked no better (and perhaps a bit worse) than the Pioneer. I have no idea (and neither did several Best Buy staff) why this problem existed, since the original Toyota system was on my 2009 Camry, and I would have expected newer stereos to work as well, if not better. Perhaps there is some issue with the connection between the stereo and the antenna, or the weakness of this particular model with the antenna, or just a Toyota problem with any system other than one specifically made for Toyota, but it has been a frustrating experience.

This radio is ok. Sometimes it goes into security mode by itself.

Wired it up and took old radio out, plugged it in and nothing. Then hard wired it to the battery to make sure it worked, and there was a 2 or 3 second pause then it lit up. So now I've been driving around with it in my trunk instead of the car I originally planed on installing it in.

I bought as a gift for a friend found the instructions hard to follow if I had a chance I would not have purchased this model. I am trying to schedule an appt to go back for service on the unit

Everything works seamlessly. I love the USB port that allows me to put in a mini USB chip with all my music and flip through folders and individual tracks. Long P. at the Rosedale, MN store is a great installer. I highly recommend him if you are in the area.

Meets my expectations for Kenwood which I have installed in my other car (Jeep). Nice Bluetooth feature for hands free phone calls. Professionally installed at Best Buy. Overall great experience. This unit went into a Hyundai Sonata.

This was a replacement for a top of the line Sony that would not work properly. Had it installed by Best Buy and it has been a joy to work and listen to my favorite radio stations. The hands free to the phone was easy to set up and use.
