Honestly I got caught up in car audio forums blasting kicker subs so i didn't buy. I kept seeing very good reviews and always had this in my mind. I went to store for a sound bar on sale heard this really clean hard bass thought it was a home stereo turned up for a demo, NOPE it was this kicker sub in the best buy metra prefab sealed box. I couldn't believe how loud and hard it was. Being on sale I took a chance bought same sub and box. I wasn't expecting anything. Man im so confused its tiny 47oz magnet tiny voice coil tiny surround puts my sundown sa12 to shame i cannot believe how hard this hits and how loud it is and the sq is very good not amazing but good. Make sure you run this sealed it has very high Q and does extremely well(better) sealed over ported unlike the comp vx. Listen if you were like me and stuck with forum subs like sundown, dd, re, nvx, soundqubed just stop now and try this first while its on sale for $99 I can't remember a time a sub made me this happy wow!!!!!!!!! BTW its connected to a jbl ms-a5001 very clean solid 500rms dont give this sub anymore than that!!!!!! One more thing these were revised this year and wasnt really advertised I thought I got a defet they no longer have red spiders the tinsle leads are not heat shrunk anymore and the cone is all poly where before the back was paper mated to top poly so when you see that its normal.

I love these subs they sound so great when I play them.

These subs are very durable and easy to hook up to whatever ohm option you need without actually having to figure out the wiring. Just hit the switch to switch ohm!

I love kicker but this sub really sucks I blown it three time last time was in the parking lot rite before I pulled off at Best Buy very weak subwoofer

I had kickers for 4 yrs but once I heard the alpine s against my vr, But im sorry to say I have alpines now but I love kicker still but for how loud an hard I pound I had to switch it up..
