I'm not new to car audio, in fact I've been installing and designing systems since the early 90's. I've never had this sort of poor quality out of a subwoofer in my life, all the way back to series 1 Pyle. I had high hopes for these speakers only to be disappointed. If you do buy this speaker, do yourself a solid and get the in store warranty.... you're going to need it.

They literally slapped a shipping label on all three of these on the manufacturer box. No outer box or protection, nothing. Unfortunately one of the subs is dented and they blamed the installer and took no accountability. Will not be going through Best Buy for future purchases.

Opened the box and the metal framing was bent . Bad enough to even screw it down to now had to beat it with a hammer to straighten it. Wasn’t gonna return due to covid. Since I couldn’t go in store or see if there was another. Need to have better product inspections.

The sub was a smaller than I wanted. The sound was a little thin.

Good sounding speaker but lacks power handling. Geek Squad welded The Voice coils on the first pair of when they turn my amp up too high. Now a second pair isn't working even though I had my amp turn down way below the speaker specifications.

Not happy with this sub at all. Sloppy, kinda boomy and not good.

Bought the speaker brought it home hooked it up and it does not work. I work 12 to 14 hours a day and don't have time to carry it back my 15 days is up. Hopefully we'll be able to exchange or get a refund soon

I've been using this for 3 years now and its okay. I run a sealed box which is preferable for the type of music I listen to. Metal, rock, country and classical have fast transitions and this sub handles them alright. Now I'm in the market for a sub with a stronger magnet system that can deliver a better low end punch in a sealed enclosure so I'm looking at other manufacturers products. I haven't had any issues with this and I've been running at 1 ohm feeding it 500w rms. I can't comment on ported or vented enclosure performance as I only run sealed. If you don't need super deep lows this is a good product. If you're looking for chest rattling bass look elsewhere.

Blew within the first minute. Pure crap!! Definitely won't buy anything audio related from Best Buy!!

In the last three weeks i have already blew four speakers so I’m done with them I’m moving to the L7

Bought it and blew it within a month running a 500w Rockford fosgate amp..

This was all the thump in my trunk I needed. Just enough to turn heads but without all the rattle obnoxious noises you get from highschool kids. Any more power for a sedan with an enclosed trunk would be overwhelming and overkill!

Put it on the approved amp instant fried out and was refused a refund

This Subwoofer sounds really good. I have just 1 of these in a ported enclosure in an suv with a 1000 watt pioneer amp, and it hits clean and hard. I made sure to get the correct gain using a multimeter and I think that is key for a good sounding system. I had a kenwood before this, and I blew it within 2 weeks. This sub has no problem with a full 500 watts going to it. No distortion what so ever which also has to do with setting the correct gain. I plan on getting 2 of these and a bigger amp soon.

Didn’t like it wouldn’t buy it again I had to return it

To expensive for the quality, the product broke after 4 months

This sub bumps! Such deep and clear bass. Really adds to the depth of your music. Highly recommend for metal or dubstep listeners!

Recently picked up a set of these with a sealed box in a package deal for 150. I honestly wasn't going to pursue a system for my car but figured for that price, it's worth a shot. Grabbed the cx1200, the knob, a kisloc line out converter and the ck4 wiring kit from Amazon. Just put it in yesterday and I honestly haven't even turned it all the way up yet. Gained correctly with a multimeter, and wired for a 2 ohm load, setting the knob at about 60/100 amounts to what feels like the air being sucked outa my chest. Deffinetly sounds much better than I hoped for. From Pearl Jams unplugged Black to Stranger Liquid Dissolve, it's all clean crisp and solid. I was always a JL guy but these were certainly more than worth what I put into em.

I currently have ONLY one of these woofers installed in a custom ported box that was built to spec per the Kicker's recommendation sheet. It is powered by a Pioneer GM5702 1000 watt amp, bridged to 4 ohms and tuned. My friend's decibel meter read 127.2 dB's at frequencies<100hz. I am completely satisfied with this subwoofer!
