Excellent speaker if you don’t have much space. If you have enough space go with something that can handle more power.

Just a dud

I installed a 500.1 JL Audio amp to my toyota tacoma for this sub. Plugged my friends L7 12 inch sub into my truck just to make sure we did the wiring correctly and the sub was pumping. But when we hooked up this sub, nothing came out of it. no bass. Checked the knob and everything. It just wouldn't play. I returned it to bestbuy and got a refund at least. Hopefully this was just a dud because I actually love kickers.

Paired with the kicker CX800.1 Mono Amplifier. This sub shouldn’t have seized with this amp. Would not recommend to anyone:

After discovering the subwoofer was damaged, I went online to locate a Best Buy location that had the same model in stock. The website showed availability, but when I showed up, I was told it wasn’t in stock. I went to car audio department, a sales representative was able to quickly find the exact model with no problem. However, when I attempted to exchange the damaged subwoofer, I was told I would have to pay an adjustment price for a new one—despite having purchased a warranty. This was extremely frustrating. The whole point of buying a warranty is to avoid additional out-of-pocket costs in situations like this. I would appreciate clarification on why I was charged extra for a replacement when I had warranty coverage. I’m asking for this to be resolved fairly and for a refund of the amount I was charged for what should have been a covered exchange. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.
