This sub is ok. Not the best but it adds a little bass.

I purchased this speaker after reading several good reviews and it was a great price. Went in the store to make the purchase to install my self in my existing speaker box. Everything worked and sounded great for about two days and then quit working. I took it to a stereo shop and they told me the Sub woofer was no good. Had high hopes for this speaker but had to switch to a different brand.

I would call these good starter subs for a smaller system. These are not below your eardrums type subs.

Only issue was it was difficult to splice the wires, didn't realize that I had to. I switched from alpine to kicker.

The subs are inexpensive and sound okay for what they are.

First, it's a good speaker. I've had no issues at all with it. Still sounds great. I had to buy this because a Craigslist special was blown (surprise, surprise). This was the only 10" sub they had, and I really only wanted to spend $50-60. Anyway, being at $90 just meant no beer for the install. Boo. I'm powering it with a 300W monoblock Kenwood amp, and it's sitting in a PowerWedge (JL) box. It's got lots of trunk space so it hits pretty well. Still working on a port to the cab, then it should sound even bigger. This little guy really hits inside the car. You can definitely hear it outside, but it's nothing super crazy. Inside sounds like you're setting off car alarms. My rear view mirror is going nuts. My ears hurt. The wife gets angry. The bass response is very smooth, and pushes very low frequencies pretty well (reminder, it's just a 10"). It is perfect for wanting to sound good, without shaking everyone's panties off (although a few might be OK). I had a 10" JL in my previous car, and I liked that much better. It was louder, and pushed not only the lower, but the higher bass frequencies better (100-160hz range), which I have a bit of trouble getting from this setup. I won't blame that on the Kicker just yet though. I need to experiment some more with box placement/direction, and EQ I guess. Overall, this is not a bad speaker, but for what I was looking for, I probably could have paid less for something else. I will probably just stick to JL always, as they haven't disappointed me in my past two vehicles.

Bought this because my 11 year old Kicker sub Finally went bad....This Sub is the SH%T....I love it...it hits hard ..Good sounding BASS!!!!! I will buy another one....

Would not buy terrible stopped working will be returning...

I purchased two of these Kicker Comp 10" subwoofers to go in my new Metra 10" Dual Sealed Subwoofer Enclosure - Charcoal. Best Buy installed these in the trunk of my 2010 Chevy Cobalt to go with my new Pioneer stereo system I had installed by Best Buy back in May. So far, I'm loving the results. The stereo sound is even better and the subwoofers delivers the great low end thump and bass that I always wanted. Almost like being in a night club when I have the music tuned up real loud.

I bought two of these 10 inch kickers and put them in a dual box that i also purchased at Bestbuy. Quality is amazing, very powerful!!!! They have a rich, deep, low, sound that none of my subs in the past have had. They look very sharp as well. I def recomend this product and basically anything Kicker makes! Great brand.
