You would rather get a Amp and a sub it pounds way better

I've really liked Kicker products for a few years now. When seaching for a small, high quality, and easy to install powered sub, the Hideaway kept coming up. I found hardly any reviews that were less than stellar. It was exactly as advertised. Easy to install, small and fit perfectly, and sounds absolutely amazing. My bass output is 200% better than before. It won't blow the roof off your truck, but it will give you a bunch of good quality bass. Way more than even I need.

I just got this in my dodge dakota quad cab. It is under my driver seat and wow, it is way more powerful than i excpected from its small size and only 150 watt rating. I didnt want to shatter windows just add some bass that i can feel, and this more than does the job. Great product!

great bass small size I installed this unit myself. fits unders the driver seat. provide bass for the whole car. Nobody can tell there's a Sub installed, but just hears great low bass. highly recomended!

installed this kicker hideaway in my 13 honda accord sedan under the passenger seat. i didn't want a sub in the trunk rattling so i decided to have it under the seat and it sounds great, its hooked up to my stock stereo. the bass knob is a great addition, with the knob turned all the way down you would never know theres a sub in the car. some people are saying that it rattles which isnt true and doesnt make sense for the fact that the grill on the kicker doesnt move at all. i also heard the rattling and did some investigating. with the kicker directly under the passenger seat its the bass that rattles the seats cross bar so all i did was move the sub about 2 inches from under that bar and the rattling went away! i did have this installed professionally from a local audio shop and they did a very good job, even mounted the bass knob with easy access. once again the sub sounds great , i was very impressed.

Easy set up no large cables no expensive amp box and sub match up. This little 8in 150 watt amp combo puts a punch in my 97 Chevy Silverado where there is no room for eveything. Make my music sound 100x better with my 6 1_2 in the doors with tweets. Highlt rexommend. Also with rhe turn knob to crank it or just kill the bass is perfect.

I have been modernizing my aging 01 F350 supercab. Installed a Kenwood 4 din touchscreen deck and 4 new jbl 6x9 in the 4 doors. That was a great sound improvement but needed some more low end help. Installed this kicker hideaway under the drivers rear jump seat and started fiddling with the staggering amount of settings on the Kenwood deck. After about 4 weeks of good sound,but not Great sound, I turned the sub output in the deck from 2 to 10. Holy moly, the truck is filled with amazing seat and mirror shaking bass. I was not pushing enough signal to the kicker! Very happy with the clear solid thump and super low rumbles this compact unit delivers. Be sure to install the remote gain control for quick access to compensate for inconsistent low end from track to track (T-Pain vs country mixes)

It is really nothing to brag over, however compared to most cars stock subs, they are significantly better. Small enough for tight spaces, The install was super easy and forward. FOR Now im very happy, will update if anything happens in future.

I never do reviews, but i have too, with this item, i put it on my toyota yaris hb, love it under passenger side, i used my car for sales, i cant use too much space, this is perfect, took me 30 minutes to installed , my friend seat on pasenger side and asked me, where did you put the subwoofer box, my wife alreary told me she want one, worth the price, i have aftermarket radio pioneer $129 , i change speakers next week, im going on right way, great punch

Great little sub. Nice tight clean bass. Tried it different locations i.e trunk, middle console of rear seat and for sure sounds best in my car under passenger seat. Only small downside is: bass can be a little strong for passenger in that seat but can be adjusted with remote but feel mine sounds better without remote plugged in. Install super easy, little more expensive than other units but I think it's worth it especially if you can get open box like I did. Not window shaking bass but perfect it you want to round out a system. Recommend. Go buy it.

Takes a little bit of DIY skills, but if you're working on car audio it's nothing you don't already know. It is what it's marketed to be and I am more than satisfied with the sound, build quality, and installation instructions. Would recommend!

I bought this not knowing what to expect. I am an old bass head and have always had big subwoofers. I am to the point now where I would rather have the room in my vehicle to go camping or hunting with the family. I just recently upgraded my factory radio and was going for more of a loud concert sound. I put in all Jbl door and tweeters powered by a kicker 4 channel amp and the kicker hideaway. The amp is installed under the drivers seat and the hideaway under the drivers seat. Well let me tell you the speaker does not deliver ground shaking bass but it sounds like a concert in my vehicle. The first time I turned it up my daughter covered her ears and started crying after only 3 seconds, I did not expect to hear the quality and loudness of what was installed. I now have the best sounding all around stero I have ever heard. If you want ground shaking bass this is not for you. If you want a good quality sound that does not take up room and sounds good this is the perfect choice for you. It will barley shake your mirrors but I can hear my stero from about 300ft away.

I have a 4 door jeep wrangler and did not want to take up a lot of space since I take camping trips. Also I take the top off a lot and wanted something discreet. So I went with this option and I was blown away, it is way better than I expected. I have had full sub set ups before and obviously this can not compete with that, but for sound you get out of this with the small size you can not go wrong. I mounted it under my passenger seat and I is completely hidden. I put it on my factory stereo and works awesome. The only complaint I would have is I tried the dc option for the auto power on and the amp kept cutting off. So I ran the remote wire to power to the cigarette lighter and switched it to 12v option and works perfect now.

I love this thing. had it installed under my passenger seat and you would never know. i asked for something just to boost the low end and not rattle my car to pieces and this was perfect! A Great addition with amazing sound quality.

2 Hideaways installed under driver's and passenger seats of 2017 Jeep Wrangler 4 Dr. Hideaways fit perfect under the seat, mounted with velcro on the specialty trays that were installed prior to installation. Bass compliments JBL speakers which were also replaced and installed by Best Buy. They will be installing an Audiocontrol LC7i and also a 4 channel amp to power the knee and soundbar speakers. The Hideaways deliver a great sound. If you are expecting to be heard from blocks away, like others note, then go with something else. If you enjoy listening to music and enjoy the highs and lows, then you won't be sorry with your decision.

Replaced the headunit and speakers in a '94 F150 and wanted a little more low end. The limited area behind the seat doesn't leave a lot of options, so I gave this unit a shot. I made a simple bracket to mount it vertically (bolted to the floor) and it sounds great! The remote control knob is right next to my knee and I can control the output based on the song, my mood, or driving conditions (windows down, passengers, highway noise, etc), Bass will definitely not rattle your head, but its the "right" amount. The kit includes everything, unless you plan to hook up using RCAs, in which case you need to modify the included harness. I added a set of Rockford Fosgate speaker-line to female RCA adapters (RFIF2SW), and needed to make a longer amp turn-on lead to reach the headunit.

I bought this sub to stuff in the center console of my 2006 Jeep Wrangler. Tight fit but a fit nonetheless. The older jeeps had weak stereo systems. As a first step, I replaced all 4 speakers and added an amplifier. An improvement but it was still difficult to hear the stereo at freeway speeds. So I bought this unit from Best Buy and it turns out this was just the ticket. For its size, this sub puts out an incredible amount of bass. Will it beat 2 12's in a bandpass box? No, but it also doesn't take up the entire cargo area of my jeep. Great addition.

Purchased this after reviewing all the available under seat subs. Installed this on a 2015 forester. The setup prior to adding the sub are Polk dxi6501 for the front and dxi651 for the rear. I used an alpine MRV-F300 which was installed under the drivers seat to power the speakers. this setup sounded great but definitely lacks the low end bass. Purchased the sub and installed it under the passenger seat. Since I used the speaker level inputs for my alpine, I just tapped into the wires for the sub. Only thing I had to do to make the sub fit under the seat is to cut the under seat vent with a utility knife. I then adjusted the low pass filter in the sub and high pass filter in the alpine at 80hz. The sound was Awesome!!!. btw, I double taped the gain control under the steering wheel for easy access.
