    I love this lock! I spent a lot of time researching to find something that still felt like a lock but had all the tech to fit with my smart home. The best part is that I replaced a old Kwikset lock with this and we can all still use the smae key. Not that anyone uses their key any more!

    Lock and system seem to be great quality. When first installed it did not operate due to batteries. The included ones did not work. Needed to buy additional batteries to make operational. Only a 4 star because of that.

      1. Perform a factory reset on the lock: https://www.kwikset.com/support/answers/how-do-i-reset-the-halo-touch-smart-lock-back-to-factory-settings
      2. Remove the lock from your phone's Bluetooth list if previously paired.
      3. Please make sure the Wi-Fi network connection is 2.4GHz with WPA2 security and is not hidden, nor has firewalls up during the pairing process.
      4. Follow the lock pairing steps within the Kwikset app.

    Would definitely not recommend. Purchased 4 months ago, doesn’t stay connected to the app. Has been through x3 sets of batteries. Alway need a key as can use the code or app entry. Wish I’d purchased the 1 year bestbuy warranty. Now I have to deal directly with the company.

    Technician from Geek Squad could not get blue tooth to function with lock. I exchanged for another in case the first was faulty but had the same issue with the second smart lock. Ended up buying Yake Assure smart lock.

    Works great. Just make sure all components are lined up when installing. If not it will not lock. It will automatically go back into the dior and not connect.

      To disable the audio for the Halo, please go to your lock settings screen within the Kwikset app and turn off the sound. And here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to ensure your Halo is working smoothly:

      1. Open the door and place the latch in the locked position.
      2. Replace the batteries in the battery holder and complete the manual door handing process to recalibrate the latch:

    If you're someone like me who prefers to change the home wifi password often for security reasons, this is not the lock for me or you. Good grief... getting this lock back onto the wifi is ridiculous. You must go thru the setup process, bluetooth pairing and wifi setup every time.
