Had problems right out of the box. Unit went crazy just keep locking motor running. I had to pull battery pack to stop motor. Replaced unit with Schlage lock with keypad and keylock. Works great! Schlage also works flawlessly with Alexa!

Worst product I have ever bought from Best Buy. It never worked right and wasn't cheap.I bought as a gift for my father. After constantly having to reprogram it, I took it off and put it in file 13. Not ready for prime time.

Works horrible with iPhone. Never can locate the range. I purchased the key fob for an additional $25 and that works somewhat better but still very slow to recognize and lock and unlock.

Bought but didn’t install. Found out after I got it home you need an additional part for an extra $100 for remote connection. That was not made clear at all on the package. Took back and got the August Pro.

The lock itself works like any other lock, so it’s kind of expensive since the kēvo app never works and is complete SHOOT. Not smart at all. If your stupid like me, then buy this SHOOT.

I'm not pleased with the item software. I have to reset it constantly. Do not trust leaving house w/o key.

Never worked waste of money, just like the nest thermostat these smart devices are garbage.

This lock is not good needs improvements. May be next generation would be better.

I''m writing this review earlier than planned. I was cautiously optimistic when I bought the lock. I also went online and bought the Kevo Plus and would highly recommend doing that. Installation was extremely easy. The only issue we had was self inflicted. The Kevo Plus installed and paired quickly. Connected to Alexa and set up a few routines to lock the door automatically at bedtime in case I forget. Remote locking and unlocking has worked flawlessly. After reading other reviews I was worried about the touch to unlock feature but it has worked every time and I've been very pleased. I do have one complaint and that is the battery compartment. What should have been a simple solution making the compartment easy to access was not taken. Instead when I finally have to replace the batteries I will have to unscrew the cover and remove it. A minor complaint but depending on battery life could be a little annoying. Overall I am extremely pleased with my purchase so far.

Got this in order to use it for house rentals. Absolutely the worst idea ever. I am better off hiding the key under a rock out by the door! Eats batteries like no tomorrow. Doesn't matter if they are dollar store batteries or $20 batteries- they never last. (Pain to replace, also.) In order to unlock the bolt, the app must be open or else you stand there for at minimum 2 minutes. Easier to just get the key out from under said rock in comment above. An absolute waste of money. Just get the combination one. Save yourself the hassle!

Thia lock is awesome, when it actually works, which is about 90% of the time for me. Luckily, so far most times it didn't work my hands were empty and it wasn't a big deal. Times when I came in and had my hands full or had kids with me it worked flawlessly, one little to uh and within 2-3 seconds it's unlocked. Installation wasnt too bad, after installation it took almost 30 minutes to download updates and you need to leave your phone within 20 feet of the lock which was a little annoying. It looks great once installed and I'd definitely recommend it.

Bought this so I wouldn't need to keep getting my keys, it was easy to install once i actually followed the instructions. Teaching it to operate was simple. I thought this would work with the Amazon Echo but I guess I read wrong, it would be perfect if it did just to lock the door, i understand unlocking would create security problems.

It worked for about 2 months and then suddenly decided to not react to touch period. I understand if it was searching for a signal but it won't even light up anymore. I can fix it temporarily by taking the batteries out and then putting them back in, but then it does it again. Refuses to connect to the phones and won't even give a status light on the lock. Sure will lock the door behind you though and trap you outside if you forgot your actual key. Bringing it back to best buy and returning it. Hopefully to find a system that has wifi built in and not having to buy an extra 99 dollar module

This installs very easily. We love it! We have even purchased the ring as well!

Utterly awful battery life. 3-4 weeks before they're dead despite only being used, perhaps, 2-3 times a week. Customer service are completely useless so you end up with an unreliable lock that periodically locks or unlocks itself as the batteries start to die. And to make matters worse, you have to unscrew the cover to change the batteries - there's not even an easy way to do this. DO NOT BUY. I wasted my money so you don't have to.

Bought this lock because it's supported by Nest. OK was working great on the iPhone SE and Android 6P. Few days ago I changed over to the Oneplus 3T and can't load the app! It's not supported! On the box said it has Android support, but only for the phones Kevo approves. Reached out to the customer service, and they say use the key fob for how ever long it takes them. So I have a worthless $300 package mounted to the door and router. should have gone with my intuition of getting the August Smart Lock. At the time Kevo offered a little cost savings and Nest support. That Nest support and cost savings bought me a worthless lock.
