Q: Can this Smart Door Lock be used in outdoor gates?
A: No. Only the outside is waterproof, and only the outside is keyed, so someone can easily reach through a gate to unlock.
Q: What is the diameter of this lock?
A: The Kevo 2nd Gen exterior side is 2 ¾” total diameter and 1 5/32” total projection. The interior dimensions are 2 3/4” total width, 5 ¾” total height and 1 15/16” total projection.
Q: What's the ansi grade for this lock
A: Grade 2

A: Kwikset Model: 99250-201 is a Kevo 2nd Generation lock. The 1st Generation model number is # 99250-001. The box will indicate 1st or 2nd Generation.
Q: What if you require more than one lock? How do you use the same key for all.

Q: Can this be used with a samsung galaxy note 8?
A: As long as you can download the Kēvo app. The lock works via Bluetooth so it should work with any phone that has the kevo app in their App Store.
A: Remote access is automatically enabled when you set up the Kevo Plus Gateway, as long as the network you are using has an Internet connection. With remote access enabled, you can control your Kevo Smart Lock from anywhere your iOS or Android device has an Internet connection. This includes other Wi-Fi networks or your mobile connection. When the Kevo App is launched outside your home, the App contacts the Kevo cloud, where it redirects the phone's request to the appropriate Kevo lock, and then you can see and control your Kevo Smart Lock.
