It is good that they each can have a different environment to play at their ability level, but the dashboard style screens could be more user friendly.

Little did I know this device was not as user friendly for my grandson as the iPad. It didn't swipe as easily or move from application to application smoothly. Additionally, you have to buy the learning games separately for this device and they cost $10-$30 each. We returned the leap pad and made the iPad preschool friendly with free games and apps.

It did not fully function due to a stupid parental lock code on it. After asking Best Buy and Leapfrog staff for help, a greedy Best Buy boss tried to charge us to fix the problem, everyone offered advice, only 1 Best Buy member apologized and gave us a refund for the returned product. Afterwards, we've never tried anymore Leapfrog items again, on clearance or not.
