Great for casual use or as a secondary computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this as a birthday present for my Mother whose old laptop had died from old age about a month ago. Everything runs fast and the touchpad + keyboard is comfortable, which is all she really needs it for. The only real downside is the storage space, which is extremely low compared to other laptops. It only has 32 GB of Storage with Flash Memory and about half of that was already being used by programs that came pre-installed on the laptop, which leaves you with about 16-20 GB to play around with. That said if all you're planning to do is browse Facebook and watching Youtube and Netflix with a little bit of office work you can't go wrong with this laptop. If you're looking for something that requires you to have a lot of storage you're either gonna need to invest in an external hard drive or consider purchasing something else.

There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free. It freezes up weekly and you have to restart it a lot for it to recognize any wireless networks around. I should have known not to buy this as there were three others (previously returned) that were also for sale.

With regard to issues connecting to WiFi, it may be necessary to update BIOS/Driver software on the device that control WiFi. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window. Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help. I use it for running a specific program off a disk which I loaded onto a SD card. Has very little internal memory so you can't put anything on it - only on an external memory USB or SD card or it won't have enough space to do windows 10 upgrades.
