Excellent basic level laptop.

I don't use it much for things that aren't Netflix and word processing but it has been fantastic in those respects. Highly recommended for everything for anything but gaming.

Everything I need in a laptop for personal/work

I lost my job and needed to work from home, both to find employment and do some freelance writing. I got so much more and can play games, house my photos, connect with the Cloud and sync with all my devices. Screen is big and clear and the keyboard is easy to use and can handle the 100 wpm I type when writing long documents.

Posted .This system should be a fast system with its AMD A12 processor and 8GB of RAM. It will generate heat, even at idle. The fan within this system will run to maintain the proper operating temperature for the system. You will hear the fan when it is running. This is normal. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

Great replacement for old laptop

He needed it for basic games, Skype, chat, etc. Not a High end gaming machine; but more than adequate for his uses. Plays the games he wants and great for playing his music and websurfing (Most laptops, except super-expensive ones, don't run high end games anyway). His previous laptop, a Dell, was about 8yrs old and starting to run slow. So, he wanted an upgrade and chose this one for it's price, features. We chose the Lenovo, because I have had a good experience with 2 different models at work and a personal one, at home. We tend to buy around middle of the road and then one step up (taking features, such as ports, processor, etc. into account). This fulfilled his needs and was in his price range. Had it for a bout a month. All in all, he seems happy and it seems to be working well.
