It really is a great laptop for the price. I know that our family member that’s getting it as a gift for really appreciate it.

It can play disks and back up your new smartphone with the 3.1 type C port without an adaptor. USBs are only 3.0 but that's ok. With the AMD A12 and graphics card it will handle any game you throw at it. I thought the price was a mistake. I'm buying another one tomorrow to give it as a gift. If your looking for a hearty laptop look no further.

I had a top end ($1000.00) tablet, and the sreen mysteriously got damaged? (remember the brand of cell phone that the battery kept exploding). Anyway, I figured since since it was cheaper to get a laptop than the repair price to fix the tablet screen....i'd go old school again. The only thing I miss was the size and weight. But i'm glad to have back the cd/dvd drive, the usb ports and the more office related capabilities. In addition to this, I love the fact that for the price, I could replace my laptop twice with brand new ones if I had to.

No instruction booklet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop did not come with any instructions as to keys doing different things, I went through the steps that came up on the computer to put a password in to start and when I went to log in again, it stated password incorrect. I know the password was placed correctly. I ended up having to take the computer to best buy and they charged me 40.00 to reset the password because there was no instructions with the computer as to how to do this. I was very disappointed by this time.

Posted .This system should be a fast system with its AMD A12 processor and 8GB of RAM. Check your internet connection. Try working on a program on the device that doesn't require an internet connect. See if the speed improves. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

This replaced a five year old lenova that the hinge had broken on. I've had this PC for about a month now using it daily and it has not disappointed. Very happy with my purchase.

Nice laptop for a first time having one

It is fun to use and I can take it with me where I don't have internet access to play my games on it. The screen is big enough for me. It was easy for me to figure out how to use it.

Basic laptop, horrible battery life

It serves that purpose and has and optical drive which is nice as those are hard to find on laptops these days. The battery life is a complete joke, however. Even after adjusting the settings to maximize battery life I'm lucky of I can get 2 hours out of it. It hemmorages battery life.
