As expected AMD runs a hotter than Intel SO the fan is very noisy. When I first set it up the HDD worked 100% all the time so FAN did too. After some updates everything was improved... fan is less noisy and HDD is quite most of the time. BUT FAN sometimes is very loud for a long period of time. I got this on a BlackFriday sale...PRICE is excellent and is totally a bang for your buck. RECCOMENDED!

Decent performance for a Good Price

It runs programs like office and other things perfectly. I'm impressed with the amount of memory, and the processor/gpu combo for the price. It's a good laptop for basic needs, and a little extra. It has enough speed to make you not want to throw it across the room. Cons, spinning disk is noisy, and you can hear the fan slightly at times, but for the price, this is expected.

Posted .This system should be a fast system with its AMD A12 processor and 8GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Be sure you have no unwanted programs running in the background, using up system resources. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

Decided not worth repair. The Lenovo was priced right and had everything but the touch screen that I wanted. Took it home and set up was a snap... not looking back.
