Wow! Really like it!

Was a much better feel than I thought even after messing with it in the store. When in a more comfortable setting I liked it even more. I did automatically do a fresh install of Win10 (after starting once to activate it) just to make sure I wasn't getting to much in the way of add-on garbage. (some of which turned out to be MS garbage as well) So, hardware: 5 stars, lowered to 4 for above reason.

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaPad 330-17 laptop has one of the cleanest factory installs of the operating software on the device. The only adware Lenovo adds to the device is a 30-day trial of McAfee anti-virus software. Any other adware comes with Windows 10 ( such as the 30-day trial of Microsoft Office 365).

Decent for the price

Especially the keys, made from lighter plastic to keep weight down. Still, works well, runs multiple programs at one, etc. Would like it better if the arrow keys were separated from the rest of the keyboard, and keys like home/end weren't combined into the numeric keypad. Only other complaint is that the keyboard is set to the back of the bottom, so there's a large area where your hands have to rest. Keep finding I'm unintentionally moving the mouse while typing as my hands keep hitting/moving across the trackpad.

You may want to decrease the sensitivity of the touchpad. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

Great computer for home use

Wanted something simple and not too expensive but would work for home use and internet surfing, paying bills, Facebook, and just general every day use. Battery lasts a while, and the computer is not super heavy so bring it from room to room whenever I want. Recommended if you are looking for a nice home computer that you aren't trying to do massive gaming on or fancy tech stuff. Would buy Lenovo again. No complaints.

It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. Be sure to always keep the venting ports clear for the best cooling of your computer.
