Amazing laptop that punches far above it's price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battery on this thing seems to last forever compared to my old laptop! The speed is phenomenal, the only time I managed to bog it down was while doing a CPU test and trying to read a PDF on it at the same time. It starts in seconds with very little fuss. Not to mention the screen, it has easily become my favorite screen to do anything on. The only downside is there is not a ton of Linux applications that work for ARM based chipsets.

Fantastic Laptop, but BEWARE "Open-Box Excellent"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.am absolutely thrilled with the Lenovo Chromebook Plus. I specifically bought it for the built-in AI features and the 12-month Google Gemini Pro subscription, and in terms of performance, it's a huge upgrade. The speed and functionality blow my old Windows laptop out of the water, and the transition to ChromeOS was surprisingly easy. However, the "Open-Box Excellent" purchase from Best Buy was a disaster. Buyers must be aware: The 12-month Google AI promo ($240 value) had already been redeemed by the original owner. This offer is tied to the hardware, so once it's claimed, it's gone for good. To make matters worse, trying to resolve this was an ordeal. I wasted over two hours with customer service, was transferred six different times, and had two calls "accidentally" dropped by support, which all felt very deliberate. Best Buy's "Open-Box Excellent" condition description nowhere states that advertised software promos are excluded. Despite all that hassle, they still refused to offer any price adjustment or compensation for the lost $240 value. The Laptop: 5 Stars. A powerhouse. Best Buy Open-Box: 0 Stars. Misleading and abysmal customer service. I would recommend this Chromebook to anyone—just make sure you buy it new or get written confirmation that the promo is intact.

My New Go-To Laptop - Exceeds Expectations!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am incredibly happy with my Lenovo Chromebook Plus. This is hands down the best Chromebook I've ever used. The display is gorgeous, and the performance is snappy. What truly sets it apart for me is the Linux environment, which has genuinely allowed me to replace my MacBook for most of my daily tasks. This Chromebook is a fantastic value and a real productivity powerhouse.

Premium Chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just took it out of the box and the whole experience was premium. It has good weight and feels solid. Speakers were better than I expected. No bassy but no laptop is. I have to get used to different keys on the keyboard but it shouldn't be a problem. I really like the fingerprint reader because I don't have to type in my passwords all the time. Overall a great Chromebook. I little pricey and maybe I should have waited it to drop in price, but I don't have any regrets.

Changed my whole perspective!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve witnessed both my kids struggle with school-issued Chromebooks for the past decade, and even purchased two “good ones” for them during the pandemic. I was issued one as an educator, and ended up BYOD because the user experience was so poor. In my experience, Chromebooks and ChromeOS were for tight institutional budgets that couldn’t afford “real” technology. However. I stumbled on an article about the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 shortly after its release in June of this year. It was intriguing, and because I have a Google Workspace admin account for my business, I decided to try it out. WOW. I have been so pleasantly surprised by this one. Firstly, I had to set aside expectations that the user experience would be super premium—that’s not what Chromebooks do or what they’re intended for. The hardware specs aren’t what you’d see for a high end Mac or Windows PC, but they don’t need to be—ChromeOS doesn’t require a ton of processing power and since it’s not really a creative or gaming laptop, a 60Hz refresh rate is just fine. On this machine, it’s better than fine because the touch display is gorgeous. It also has an anti-reflective coating which is a must for me because reflections drive me crazy. I love Lenovo hardware in general: keyboards, trackpads, displays… imo Lenovo crushes it. This Chromebook is no different. The keyboard is comfortable, has great travel, and a lovely yet quiet click. The trackpad is silky smooth and is precise and responsive with excellent palm rejection. The aluminum chassis is light yet durable, and the seashell color is beautiful. Getting started on this machine out of the box took about 45 seconds and required nothing other than signing in to my Google account. For anyone who’s suffered the nightmare of a Windows setup, this is like other-dimensional. ChromeOS is so light and simple and the Google ecosystem is so integrated that it echoes my beloved Apple ecosystem and “just works.” The battery life is fantastic, performance is snappy, and Google is killing the AI game, blowing away Apple and giving Copilot a run for its money. The grouping feature is very cool—Google AI automatically organizes everything for me so I don’t have to think about it. Anyone who’s used Chrome knows about the chaos of 40 open tabs… at the time of writing, this feature is currently only available on this machine. The only problem is that it’s all web-based, and I can’t do everything I need to do in web apps and PWAs. Professionally and academically I spend most of my time in the 365 environment and the Chromebook doesn’t 100% cut it. I can’t use it exclusively. However, if your use case is productivity and moderate to light multitasking, web-based apps, and internet browsing, this machine is more than adequate. Split screen and window snapping works really well. TLDR: I love this laptop for many reasons, and it’s completely changed my view of what a Chromebook is and what it can do. Highly recommend!

Fast light and slick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, this is a great computer, and as a Chromebook, it's unequaled. The price is up there, but its internals and fast processor speed justify the price. The weight/portability is also great.

This one is hard to beat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous Chromebook was the 3rd generation Acer Spin 713 with the 11th generation Core i5 , 8 gigs of RAM, and a 2K display. That Chromebook was lightning fast and had an amazing, sharp, and super bright display. Unfortunately, it missed the "Chromebook Plus" software designation. This Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 is faster, especially with Android apps. The Kompanio Ultra 910 with 16 gigs of RAM is no joke. The display, although less in overall resolution, is just as good looking and seems a bit brighter than the 713. The battery life of the Lenovo is at a completely different level when compared to the 713, thanks to the efficiency of the 3nm processor. I often go 3 days without charging it. Standby battery life is insane. The keyboard feels great, the chassis is smooth and sturdy, and it certainly feels more refined than the 713, which is no slouch in with its all-aluminum build. The Lenovo's fingerprint scanner is a very nice bonus feature. The software experience is much better on the Lenovo due to the "Chromebook Plus" features. AI summaries of web pages and articles is my most used feature. The speakers are the best I've had on a clamshell, and the web cam is very good. The only 2 metrics in which the Acer 713 has superiority was with the ports and its ability to convert to a tablet (which I never used). In particular, it boasted 2 Thundebolt 4 USB Type C ports, whereas the Lenovo's 2 Type C ports are only USB 3.2, and only the one on the right can output 4K at 60 Hz. Besides that, it is superior in all other benchmarks. The Lenovo Chromebook 14 Plus has it all: amazing performance, great display and sound, amazing battery life, and the best ChromeOS software experience available.

The Best Chromebook I've Used
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned a couple of Chromebooks in the past, but this one is the best by far. Beautiful display and excellent build quality make it feel like a far more expensive laptop than it is. The speakers are impressive, and Chome OS has come a long way as far as being an alternative to Windows or Mac OS for everyday tasks. If your an Android phone user, the sync and intergration options are very good and extremely useful.

Amazing performance and battery life
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely the best Chromebook made so far. Clearly shows the benefits of using Arm processors, just like Apple Silicon Macs and Windows on Arm laptops. OLED display is great. If you love Linux this is a great way to get both the ease of use of a Chromebook and the power of Linux at the same time. It has plenty of RAM to run applications.

Best Chromebook so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced my Pixelbook and this one really is the best Chromebook to buy right now (cross shopped the MacBook Air). Super smooth performance so far and really surprised how good the speakers are, rivals the MacBook Air speakers. Keyboard also has a good feel and click depth. Trackpad also super smooth but the click mechanism is just ok, but I use tap to click anyway. OLED screen also is quite beautiful even though it's 60Hz (MacBook Air also 60Hz to be fair). I also had to go into the store to get the feel of typing on it and there's a thing I noticed between some new computers - sharp edges that hurt my wrists. The MacBook Air is very good but man the edges are sharp - but this laptop has more of a rounded corner that feels way better to type in for long sessions. Speaking of long sessions, battery life for me has been over 12 hours of actual use easily. I try to keep the battery between 20-80% though for better battery health. Elephant in the room is the price. Could you get a better full featured computer for this price? Absolutely and if you want that then go for it. If you like and want a Chromebook though, this is the best out there as of September 2025 but it's pretty pricey - $600 feels like it would've been a better price but it's my daily driver for the next 8 years so not too big of a deal to me.

Amazing laptop - MediaTek Kompanio Ultra rocks!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm blown away by this Chromebook! The Kompanio Ultra processor is a game-changer, providing incredible speed and efficiency. I can power through my to-do list with seamless multitasking and still have a ton of battery life left—I'm talking multiple days of light use and a full 12 hours of heavy use. Beyond the performance, every detail feels premium. The OLED display is absolutely beautiful, the keyboard and trackpad are a joy to use, and the speakers are surprisingly loud and clear. Plus, with the included Wi-Fi 7 and a super-fast fingerprint sensor, it's clear this Chromebook was built for speed and convenience. It's truly a fantastic machine.

It’s ok but has limits
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve usually have avoided chromebooks in the past due to their inherent limitations but was willing to give this one a try being a Lenovo product. It’s been ok but not overwhelmingly better than what even a refurbed M1 MacBook would offer. Yes it has touch but that’s not an important thing for me. I was looking for something with OLED display and affordable to take on the go to the coffee shop and not be overly concerned if it got broke or stolen. For the same price I could have got a macboook air and been happier. It has some quirky behavior where it looses mouse and audio over Bluetooth. The touchscreen aspect I just find annoying. On the plus side: the OLED screen is nice. As a device for media content consumption it is great. YouTube plays great. The onboard speakers are phenomenal. The built in camera is fantastic. Tight integration with Google Docs, and other Google products like Gemini, etc is great. Bottomline: would i recommend it. For the casual user already familiar with chromebooks and their limitations, perhaps. Yes, I take it to the coffee shop and can do basics, consume media, etc, and is a step up from a low end Acer Chromebook. But I come back to does the price point warrant this compared to what you could get with a MacBook Air? I don’t think so. Even if you were to get a new MacBook Air for slightly more $$ you’d be getting a more versatile device with longer term value. I’ll be keeping the Lenovo Chromebook and make the best of it, but in hindsight it was a mistake to get this over a MacBook Air.

a worthy pixelbook replacement.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally a replacement for the much loved Pixelbook. This Laptop has a very similar feel but is much faster! Probably one of the fastest laptops I've used yet. Super nice machine in all aspects. I use PCs at work but decently specced Chromebooks are a much more pleasant experience. Practically zero maintenance, just works, fast, great battery life and when I close the lid I can count on it resuming with the same battery level. Just buy this computer even if you're tempted by a PC at a similar price. You won't regret it.

An excellent machine but I got a lemon
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really loved this machine. It has topnotch specs. A fast powerful processor, 16 gigs of memory, 256 gigs of storage, a fingerprint reader, an OLED touch screen (which was a bit small for my tastes but not a deal breaker) and awesome audio. But from the start there were issues with driving an external display via USB-C. It would periodically blank out. I replaced the cable several times and eventually the monitor itself but still had the same problems. I finally sent it in for repair and after a motherboard and usb-c board swap the display issues were gone. BUT during the repair something happened to break whatever it is in the machine that enables DRM to function properly. I could no longer play protected video. I sent it back in for repair. The supposedly fixed machine still had the problem. I sent it in for repair for a third time. When it came back the original external display problem had come back with a vengeance (now the display would not show an image at all rather than just blanking out now and then) AND the DRM problem still wasn't fixed. Discouraged, I escalated the issue to customer service. I really wanted a replacement but there weren't any available so I had to settle for a refund. So all in all this is a great machine, if you get a good one.
