The price, which included MSFT Office for a year, was right as an addition to my new POWERFUL Lenovo Thinkpad P70, This 100S is super easy to take with me. I wanted WINDOWS, Apple won't work for me. However, I will never again buy anything with only 2 GB of RAM (memory). I was prepared to use it mainly for web access and to save only a few files. However, the thing is SLOWER THAN MOLASSES. Forget about using it to trade stocks! I am also used to a 24 inch monitor and the small screen drives me crazy. I obviously do not use an iPhone !!!! I use the 100S parallel to the P50 to read eMail on an ATTACHED external monitor. And it's great for Spider Solitaire when I need a break. IT IS ALSO A FIRST DEFENSE against Trojans. I download here and then transfer to the P50 when it's been checked. There is relatively little to hack on this 100S. ... Thus a worthwhile purchase. In summary, the 100S is fine for eMail and random internet searches. However, if I had to do it over again, I would definitely spend an extra $100 or so to get something with more RAM! Thus not recommending this particular Model. Yes, I read reviews before buying, but that was not mentioned.

Certainly not anything near top of the line model. It does not have all the heels and whistles that my main unit has. For a back up and more portable usage machine it does what I intended it to do. No problems, looks good, and is fine for a standard machine. No complaints.

I bought this laptop for my wife who is returning to school and she likes the laptop. I set the computer up for her as well and find it user friendly. It comes with virus protection that is easy to install and Microsoft Word already built in which is free trial period. The only complaint from my wife is that sometimes the computer slows a bit, but not to the point where it inhibits you. You can't beat it for the money.

I enjoy the size and weight for traveling by air. That was the main reason for purchasing it.

My fiancée was needing a small home computer to get stuff done was we prep for our wedding. The ideapad fit our needs great because it is compact, Internet-ready, and came with Microsoft office. Great purchase!

This laptop was purchased for my daughter's schooling. It works fairly well for our needs. However, the memory is eaten up quickly by the operating system and antivirus. There is not really enough RAM at times, as it can lag if there are a few things running at the same time. It serves our needs as just a school / casual web surfing laptop.
