Decent But Horrible Screen & Trackpad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this on sale for $129 so wasn't expecting much but even then I was disappointed. It's a nice looking little netbook but two things really killed it for me. First, the screen is bad. Like really bad. Not the resolution really, that is OK but my god the TN panel used in this has the worst viewing angles I've seen in years. If you're not looking at a specific angle the screen immediately washes out big time. Up or down, side to side it doesn't matter. Worth it to spend a little more and get an IPS display in my opinion. The other thing is the trackpad. It has absolutely no multi-touch/gesture support. This is huge and I can't believe they skimped out on this because literally every other netbook/laptop made in the last few years has this feature, cheap or not. Deal-breaker for me. If you don't care about those two things then I guess it's OK but you'll most likely wish you spent a little more and bought something that's not as frustrating to use.

Great Little Computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a work laptop which I travel a lot with but I needed something else for personal use that would travel easily. Something that had a real keyboard, enough memory for my needs and that didn't cost too much. I bought this computer when it was on sale at Best Buy for $149.99 and I'm very happy with it after my first week of using it now. It came with Office 365 and with Webroot. I bought an SD card for extra memory which I haven't had to use yet but will probably use it for photos and music, although O365 has 1TB of offline storage I can use also. So far, loaded with all I need (and a little more), I still have about 13Gb of unused memory (as well as all of my micro SD memory card still unused). On this computer I am using simple excel spreadsheets and word documents. I also use it for email - web browsing - watching movies (Netflix and Hulu) and playing simple games like cards or chess. The only one issue I encountered was when downloading Office 365, where Webroot kept deleting a 365 file that it assumed was a threat. Microsoft live help did a great job of trying to figure this out although in the end I decided to NOT use Webroot and just use Windows Defender instead. (So Webroot prevented O365 from working). Other than that, I love this little computer. It was a great price and value for what you get and it works for everything I need it for. it's also fast enough at loading and running everything for me. I like the color of it too.

Posted .This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very Button on the top left side of the device, above the keyboard, to the right of the power button. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.

Get what you paid for.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was going to get a 2 in 1 computer but you have to pay about a thousand dollars to get a decent one so I decided to look for a deal instead. I found this computer open box for much lower than retail and it is working out really well. It has a very small amount of memory and it's not good at holding a bunch of tabs open at once, but if you can learn to work around the fact that it can't multitask very well you will have a very good computer on your hands. It's super portable and the keyboard on it is phenomenal. I'm a writer so that counts. I see some users complaints about the mouse pad and while I do sometimes hit my fingers on it while I'm typing which messes me up sometimes, if you make the cursor speed nice and fast the touch pad is just fine. My only advice would be to get the protection plan because I can guarantee I'll have to get this thing replaced at some point. It's simply too small and cheap to last very long. But if you need something to get basic work done on the go this thing is perfect. Also, the speakers on this thing are awesome. Which is surprising.

Posted .There may be drivers that need to be updated for your system. You can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers to look for updates for your specific system. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes or download any new software. You may also want to turn off automatic updates to your system. That way you can create restore points before you allow the updates. Hope this improves your experience:

Great basic laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for my nephew for his schoolwork. The red color makes it pop. The specs are low, but it runs pretty well. The hinge for the laptop screen goes 180 degrees so it can be completely flat - has come in handy for my nephew who thinks everything is a touch screen and tries to poke at it. The screen itself has pretty bad viewing angles, colors are not very accurate but gets the job done. Keyboard is good - Lenovo makes a pretty good keyboard considering they also make the ThinkPad series. The trackpad is not very good.. it does not support 2 finger scrolling, so you might want to get a traditional mouse if you are using this a lot. It is very light and the charger is small also. If you want a casual laptop or just need something to bring around campus for schoolwork this is a great option.

Great for highly mobile, low level user
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a college student and I have a powerful Dell laptop that I bought a couple years ago. It has lots of speed, memory, etc. It is kind of heavy and has lots of moving parts, plus the battery doesn't last super long. I needed a laptop to take to classes that would last all day, wouldn't get damaged from bouncing around my backpack, and was light and took up less space. I didn't want to spend a ton of money, so I searched and I found this one. I love the look of it, everyone glances at it in class, while they all have their big bulky laptops out. It lasts all day, I don't even bring the charger with me and some days I am out in class for 6+ hours. I was also told that a laptop with moving parts is not good for travelling all day in the backpack. Although they are made to travel, there is a difference between riding home in the car or going from room to room and the college life - which is a lot of running to class, throwing your backpack down or having it kicked by a crowd. The resolution on the screen and the amount of storage are the only things that I struggle with. I filled up the 32 GB storage really fast, I bought a SD card - but there are just so many things that won't go on there - like 95% of my software. My Dell laptop has a beautiful touch-screen, but this one has a dull little, slightly grainy screen. When I have a teacher looking over my shoulder to help me, they have trouble seeing it sometimes. I realize to get more memory and a better screen would have cost more and I was looking for a 2nd laptop with certain, more important features. I just think I should be thorough in my review. I DO love it and I am very happy with my $175 little laptop. However, if it was my only machine, I don't think it would be enough. I run all my Adobe and Games and everything bigger on my Dell and I use this little baby for notes, Office, email, web apps, and other things that would be similar to what you would do on a tablet or something. If you need this for a 2nd, travel system - GET IT.

Love my Lenovo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it. I bought it about a week ago. I needed a cheap laptop that could get stuff done that I needed and the customer ratings on almost all in that category were like 3 out of 5 stars. But I saw that this Lenovo model had a 4.4 out of 5 star rating so I took a chance on it. It was $199. Started up fast, has Windows 10 which is great, it's quad is only 1.3 gHz but the processing speed is never an issue, it's plenty fast. It's ultra lightly weight and the battery lasts really long. I've used it solid for a week now and I can't say enough good things about it. Love it!

Very happy untill...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello! So, I am a upcoming college student. I stumbled across this laptop and everything about it looked perfect, except for the memory storage; but I could expand the memory if I bought a micro sd card. I got this on sale for, I believe, $130 some. I received it in great condition. Everything started up perfect and Windows 10 was already installed. I have owned this laptop for 2 weeks now. On my second week, I found 2 scratches on the top side. I have no idea how it got there, and I am very gentle with this computer. The paint is gone and all you can see is white underneath. It's not too noticeable, so I quickly dismissed it as being a big issue. Last night I had it on my bed. My bed is not that far from the ground and I have wood flooring. I must have sat down and the laptop fell onto the ground. It looked perfectly ok. I picked it up again today and I noticed what damage the fall caused. The corner on the right (where it says "ideapad" is now bent and cracked. Not only that but I looked at my screen, on the right side, it is "popped" out (the black dethatched from the red". I fixed it by pushing it back together. I wish I would have gotten the warranty on this computer. I am very careful and I can't believe a foot and a half drop did that much damage.

Best Small Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it on sale of 102 plus tax. Its worth every buck spent. Its reasonably fast, upgraded to windows 10, deleted windows 8. I added 128gb sandisk microsd. Runs perfect. Handles most stuff easily. But the screen is not so great. It looks washed out. Other than that for the price I will give 5 stars.

Great budget laptop!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop can be had for just $149 on sale. That's an amazing deal for what you get. Everything you pretty much need out of the box plus It's running Windows 10. Keyboard feels good, trackpad is alright but you can't expect amazing quality for barely over a $100. Definite buy!

Good for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is good 'secondary' laptop that is adequate for school/office works. Come on... This cannot be used as main laptop. It's just not powerful. But for secondary use, you cannot beat this price (130 dollars) You can serf on the internet, writing notes, watching videos, etc. Nothing heavy programs, like games or Photoshop. I was considering Chromebook but I wanted window 10 So I went for this and I'm happy with the purchase. Very light and good battery life. Would recommend

Excellent buy on sale
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Folks who got them (presents) were satisfied. Missing touch pad gestures, a little bigger and heavier than some 11.6" netbooks, but an excellent buy at $120 / $130 (would expect more for $200). Acceptable sound, screen, weight, & speed.

Excellent Value and Performance!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over the holidays I bought Core i7 Dell Inspiron 7353 and 4 days ago I bought this gem of a PC (Ideapad from Lenovo with Atom Z3735F (middle of the line of Atom processors). To my surprise, not only I was able to install all the software that I use, they ran well, often in multiple windows! Just for curiosity, I timed a macro in Excel in both systems. The Dell system had Office 2013 64 Bit installed and the Ideapad came with Office 360 32 Bit. To my great surprise, there was no significant difference in execution time! Imagine I paid 6 times as much for the Dell Inspiron which came with no software .. No comparison at all. Sure Dell i7353 has a touch screen but not even once I used it as a Tablet as I have been a desktop user and comfortable with key board and mouse. I felt my 6 year old Core i7 Desktop is getting outdated, and convinced myself I need to have a newer Core i7 (6th generation) as an upgrade. The newer 2 core i7 was no match to the old 4 core i7 in productivity tool comparison. I will recommend Lenovo Ideapad as a work PC to any one.
