I got it as a replacement for my 8-Y.O. Dell Inspiron 11z. I'm pleasantly surprised at how fast it is for an Atom-powered computer. However, I'm slightly disgruntled at the dismal 32-GB of storage. Oh well: still a great computer I'd recommend.

I bought this product to write reports for school. It works fine, it's very light, but the screen is messed up a line popped up vertically on the left side. If you have be moving the laptop don't buy it. Not durable for at all. Leave it in one spot and it should last a long time.

I honestly was looking for a laptop that I could type on because the laptop that I have now it's a 10 inch tablet which sucks for typing because the keyboards are too close together. So I found this one and it was completely in love with it until I find out that the Wi-Fi only lasts for 20 seconds.

Let's see - this thing sells for $150 and looks decent enough for that price. But, as Mossberg says, the trackpad is the cheapest part; no two-finger scroll or even a scroll zone. You MUST use the "hover over the scroll line and click" method from half a decade ago to use what is arguably the biggest interaction method with any laptop without a touchscreen: the trackpad. Try using this old navigation with MDS Office or any web browser. You will go mad. Other cost-cutting techniques should have been used here - but to effectively kill the trackpad's main function that almost all brains have been used to on every laptop since 2007? Wow Lenovo - any brainiac move. Almost every Chromebook gets the trackpad right and they work awesome for sub-$200 machines. This is not a competitor to those for this reason.

got this a few days ago and i absolutely love this...its very fast and i love the layout..goingto get my son one. if you decide to buy this you wont be disappointed!!!!

This is terrible and comes with superfish on it. When I tried to set it up, it continued to download and install programs I've never even heard of. I'd uninstall something and restart the system, only for it to reinstall everything and then some extras that caused pop ups while the internet wasn't open. My internet provider even contacted me to tell me my computer was engaged in "suspicious activities." Meanwhile, my desktop continued to get more and more icons on it while I just let it be. I legit walked away from the computer with nothing on the desktop only to return to over 10 new icons/programs there. The internet browser was horrible, so I downloaded google chrome... just for it to change my website addresses in the middle of loading, or tell me there was an error with the page itself. I could not access any site where I could download an antivirus or antimalware, and there was nothing I could do about superfish. Do not get this machine unless you want to do a factory reset and pull your hair out. I don't understand how this thing has so many stars. I'm returning mine first thing tomorrow and I got it this morning!

The Lenovo Ideapad 100s is an OK laptop if you are into just site surfing and browsing. Some cons of the laptop is that it's storage is very, very low, and it's very slow. Though it is light weight, and I adore the 180 hinge, the quality of the screen is low as well. I watch a lot of Netflix on this laptop, and it the quality of the videos is OK I can say. Not your average 1080p TV but it can do the job. I would recommend this to a friend who isn't into games or editing videos/pictures.

I was pleasantly surprised to pay $150 and get a netbook with SSD & full Windows 10. Losses one star for non removable battery and SSD. Everything is soldered on here. So absolutely no upgrading storage, memory, etc. when something goes bad, you will have to buy another one. Other than that, this sucker boots quick. I've been using it for my troubleshooting problems at work and it does work like a champ. Nice small power cable. Nothing big to lug around. Doesn't feel overly cheap like he would think for $150.

you couldn't get a better deal anywhere. the laptop is basic with little memory. it will get the job done. the battery doesn't last me as long as advertised...

Bought for my 85 year old mother to teach her basic computer skills. Nice size and easy for her to maneuver.

I bought this for my girlfriend for a valentine present because the price looked great and it has great specs so why not right. Well no because after setting it we had a issue with the keyboard where the S key wasnt working. No problem we just exchanged it for a brand new one. Excited and take it out of the box and the keyboard doesn't work at all this time!! Really!!?? we are taking it back today for refund and let me be clear that I have never had problems from any product I have bought from Best Buy up until now. This could just be a lemon; however, because of this issue I will never buy a Lenovo product again. Should of stayed with the brand I know which as always been ASUS. Buyer beware in purchasing this chrome book!

battery lasts a long time (i can run videos for hours on just battery power) - doesn't get as hot as my regular laptop -

A laptop for this price, are you kidding me? Even comes with 1 year of office. Very pleased with it. Works fine for web surfing, using excel, word and powerpoint. I got because I was getting tired of lugging around 15.6" laptop.

Great for taking on the road in place of larger, heavier laptop. Very lightweight and great size. Works great and does everything we need. Battery does seem to need recharging more often now than when we first purchased it.

Bought this laptop for my teenage daughter. She loves it!
