    Very slow surfing the internet!

This laptop is slim and stylish but somehow extremely slow when surfing the internet. I tried with both Microsoft Edge and IE. Edge is terribly slow. IE is better on this laptop but still it takes on average 10 second to load a normal web page. It took up to 15 seconds to load Yahoo Finance. The more ad on the web page, the longer the load time. I am aware this model is basic but did not expect it to lag so much behind say, an iPad, in opening up a web page. I'd recommend this laptop to someone who does not do a lot online research.

My son loves his laptop. Nice color choices, ample memory for a child. I would purchase again.

I got it last week but the battery power cord didn't charge the battery. I got a second one and charged properly to 100% and now I get the message, plugged in, but not charging.

This product was not as plug and play as I had hoped. I had a few issues getting it running and the sensor to detect opening and closing the unit only work intermittently.

    horrible laptop. 3 laptops later

i went in and bought a lenovo ideapad 100s. the laptop had dead pixels. so i went and exchanged for another new laptop had dead pixels as well. the laptop itself is slow and does BASIC tasks only. new install has about 17gb free...but with the forced updates you will only have 4gb in less than a day (before you put any of your own programs on it). you will need a SD memory card if you really want to use this product that being said the laptop is best for browsing online, maybe netflix or itunes...thats about it. LINUX USERS: stay away from this laptop, the bios is locked down, meaning there is no possible way to install any linux distribution. At first glance it looks possible, yet every bios setting is greyed out and not accessible. also it is stuck in EFI, not UEFI, also does not let you boot from any other source. i took back the already replaced unit, and got a dell inspiron 15 3000. better choice

Good Price, Keyboard is not great

This is good for things that does not require quick typing. You have to press on keys pretty hard and it's annoying, but for excel and internet works pretty well.

    Flimsy plastic feel while typing

    Posted .

This is the cheapest machine I've ever seen, but it's also only a few $. I was so surprised how much it feels like cheap plastic when you type. I'm not just talking about the keys, but the flimsy frame it's sitting in. Feels like a plastic model that is made to be broken apart in pieces, only it's not supposed to come apart. The notebook even freezes up on normal web pages. Doing things on this is like loading your family in the van, tying a rope to your bicycle, and trying to peddle them to school. Trying because if you get there it's going to be a long process and you will be worn out. Can't really afford a computer, this can get some basic tasks done.

Bought 3 for Christmas. One shut down completely and the other 2 constantly shut off during use. Never Again will I buy a Lenovo. I'm a single mother so couldn't afford 3 protection plans so we are screwed. It was the only gift they got I saved up for these to help with school work.

This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small button at the top of the Keyboard to the right of the power button. You will need a pen or pencil to push the button. The OneKey Recovery System will boot your system when it will not boot normally. Plug the device in, let the battery charge for a little while, then press the One Key Recovery Button with a pen or pencil. The system should boot to a screen that will let you choose to "normal boot" to desktop or to restore to factory default settings. Try normal boot to desktop first. Once at the desktop you can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for driver updates for your specific system. Be sure to create a restore point before you make changes or download new software. Once the system is operating normally, create a new restore point:

Maybe I just got a lemon. Owned for less than 3 months and started having power issues. Will not power on. Lenovo support is very so-so. Caustic would be the best word. Now I get to pay for shipping on a warranty issue for a computer I paid $150 for. Waste of money.
