Windows 10 freezes

The Windows upgraded computer are SO SLOW.. there is so much junk in there that they try to do that you can't even do basic things like respond to emails. It takes about 5-10 minutes just to load all the background processes before you and get your hard drive to stop spinning and get to what you want to do. I opened " Task Manager" and there are 45 Windows processes working and 54 background processes. The computer freezes up and even crashed several times. I brought it back thinking it was just that I got a lemon, but the replacement did the same thing. I eventually went with a HP laptop, and at first it was OK , but when it prompted me to update via Micro Soft update, it started doing the same thing.
