Q: Does this laptop support expanded memory?
A: From the Lenovo Service manual, it has one DIMM slot for a DDR3L laptop style chip. The "L" means 1.35V RAM. The Crucial website says that this can go up to an 8 gig chip max. To get at the RAM, it's a total of 14 screws, involving two screws to pull the keyboard, three underneath the keyboard, then nine to remove the entire base plate of the laptop. While you're in there, Lenovo shows that a 7mm SATA hard drive will fit in there, so you can upgrade the internal drive to something a bit more roomy, either spinning disc or SSD.

Q: How long does battery last?
A: Within the first 3 weeks of purchasing, mine lasted upwards of a couple days without charging. Say 3 hours of use each day and sleep mode in between. After that i'm lucky if I can make it 3 or 4 hours without having to plug in a charger.
Q: When I unplug the laptop the laptop automatically turns off, How can I stop that?
A: Try going to power settings and modifying what happens when you unplug. If this doesn't work then you probably have a defective.
Q: can i use external HDD with this device?
A: It won't run any slower with an external HDD. The only slowness you would experience is slower disk access to files on the external HDD. I wouldn't install any programs on it. What I would do is put in a microSD card for storage and use the built in storage for applications
Q: Is the battery charger fits 100V to 240V so that it can be used anywhere
A: The ac adapter is 110V.
A: Check your battery management settings, seems like you might be set to save battery "Maximum lifespan" instead of 'Maximum battery " The difference is confusing, but it means one fully charges and the other doesn't. LiOn batteries "cells" last longer if they are not fully charged multiple times. I mean they last for 1000 charge -discharge cycles, but if you don't fully charge and discharge, they last longer, say 4 years instead of 3. The LiOn batteries like to be kept half charged for long storage.
Q: Is it possible to find it with a french keyboard?
A: Well try to buy it in France and I am sure you can find one with the French keyboard.
