Posted .This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the top left side of the device, right near the hinge on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.

Good for Mild gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you wana play games like GTA, Wicher, Or any other resource demanding games, move on to something else. If you are a casual gamer and want to play CSGO, Starcraft, or some other low resource demanding games, then it's a good choice. It has no fans, so it can heat up rather fast. I highly recommend geting a 32gb + micrSD card for it for the 64 GB storage runs out fast. Overall nice pic for casual gaming and for office work. would be perfect for a middle-high schooler that doesn't need to do very long documents, for after about 6 page reports, it slows down a bit. No CD drive makes it thin, but it is also a drawback. You can get external XD drives for 20-30$, so that's not a big deal.

Great for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great buy for the price. I love how lightweight and compact it is and it makes it just as easy to carry around as a tablet without losing the functionality of a full size laptop. My order came in very fast(a week before expected delivery date). I gave it 4 stars only because this product doesn't have a lot of cosmetic accessories ( I'm a big fan of skins and covers). But overall its an awesome purchase.

Dont buy Open Box or Geek Squad Refurb
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible Experience with Open Box. No more open box laptop from Bestbuy First ordered to pick up an excellent condition open box from the Frisco Preston Road Store, when I actually reached store pickup I was in horrid shock. The laptop had no box, no charger, wont't even boot maybe dead batteries and they termed it excellent condition. Refused to pick it up and cancelled the order. Wasted time driving 30 miles to the store. Well placed order for Geek Squad Certifed Refrub. Another terror I could not activate the office 365 as it kept saying the product key has already been activated with another email id. Chatted with CS and they gave me a digintal download CS number and even after an hour with them with the phone could not activate the office. Planning on returning the laptop and not even buying any other laptop from Bestbuy due to poor customer service. I used to buy a lot of stuff from bestbuy and that's how I became Elite Plus Member but the overal shopping experience at Bestbuy has gone really down hill. Most of the sales staff and associates are very poorly trained, part time workers who have very shallow knowledge of products, most of the times you would know more than them if you have done your research on the internet. Bestbuy has now officially become the Walmart of Electronics. About the laptop. For $249 look elese where. The CPU is the fan less celeron and opening a few tabs on the brower will make it hit 100% usage. Memory also hits 95% which was a surprise with the 4 gigs of RAM installed and only a web browser running that it would take up so much of the resources Also do not plan to use Google Chrome Browser (which is my fav browser# on this as this system does not have enough juice to run multiple tabs of chrome and will be choking all the time with 100% CPU and 100% RAM usage. This is a very very basic machine just maybe ok for browsing. Forget about any serious stuff on this computer. For the 14 inch model the keyboard is full size nice to type #no backlit# The touch pad is big and works ok not too bad not the best but very much usable without having to pull your hair out and reach for a mouse. For both 11 and 14 inch model the matt finish screen is very crisp and and I like the non reflective screen for my eyes. # No Touch though# Speakers are great for the price and it will be plenty for a regular size bedroom to watch a movie or youtube videos. The system itself is very light and decently sturdy and looks nice even though it all plastic #not cheap). The battery life on the 14 inch model is also great, you won't get the advertized 8 hours but I averaged between 4-5 hours which I felt was decent. There is no option to upgrade the hardware no slot to put an extra hard drive, no slot for extra RAM so basically what you buy is what you stay with As long as you know this is basically a Chromebook meant only for very light task while travelling you will be ok but if you are a student and tight on a budget you can spend the $250 on a manufacturer refrub and get an older but more serious laptop for serious work. Last Note: Dont buy Open Box or Geek Squad Refurb it will be nightmare.

Nice priced starter laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is replacing my Asus Transformer 10.1 in notebook. Lenovo makes a really good laptop for a good price. This is a 14 in laptop and I paid the same price...$199 on sale. It also has the larger 64GB storage instead of the usual 32GB. Being a 14 inch it is a lot easier to use. It is fairly fast and includes the latest 11/02ac internet card. The screen is nice and bright and is HD (720p). Not a gaming machine but works great for what its intended for.If it had a lighted keyboard it would be awesome. Probably not going to happen at this price point. All in all a well built little machine.Lenovo makes quality product. This beats the 11.6 version hands down for only $50 more !

Great for students
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is great. The trackpad and the keyboard are functional. It's very light and it has a long battery life. The price is good so it does not break the bank for students.

Laptop with touchpad Issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop has serious touchpad issue, It doesn't scroll down with edge scrolling or multi finger scrolling. I tried installing latest driver from Lenovo website as well as synaptics website but didn't work. If you don't use touch pad and planning to use mouse instead than this laptop is for you. Laptop looks is very good, It is thin and light. Charger cable is very short compare to other laptops in market. You will have 45 GB left in hard disk after windows 10 installation.

Great laptop for people that need the basics!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very great for people that want to browse the web, make documents, watch videos, and check your e-mail. You can run Minecraft on it, but you need to turn down the video settings. The battery is good as well, and this laptop has no fan. You would think that it would over heat, but it does not. Over all, this laptop would be great for the people that need the very basics.

Great Basic Laptop/Pad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While some may complain about speed or storage etc. I really just wanted something basic to do internet work and word documents without opening up my regular laptop to possible cyber risks. It's very smooth clean and works perfectly for what I do. I'm a huge fan and would definitely buy another one. For the price I can't imagine anyone complaining but for that great of a deal I'm sure there could be problems down the road. However, if you just need a basic machine for word, internet/cloud functions (school, online work) it is perfect!

Outfit your robotics team with these things!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer and its smaller cousin for a robotics program I mentor with. They're sturdy, light, and easily powerful enough to run RobotC along with a web browser and Excel. For a team of 5 kids, you could have everyone programming, researching, or CAD-ing with an investment of $1000.

Affordable and Amazing Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Graphics reader driver freezes on mine but other than that great price. Recommend you get geek squad support with the laptop as new windows updates can cause problems. Battery life is exceptional. Keyboard is fluid and easy to use. Comes with virus protection, which is great. Perfect for college students.

Best value for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it. It forces you adopt cloud technology for sharing and usb technology for permanent storage the same as the Apple IPad technology does. Also the same is the absence of spinning mechanical hard drives and fans that suck in dust inside your computer. It uses flash technology to load operating system and access programs. With DropBox, One Drive, and Google Drive you have more storage and sharing data that you will ever need.

Good Linux/Lubuntu Machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been a while since buying a newer laptop with EFI and took a chance on attempting to install Linux. Installed Mint 17.3 without issues however with the heat coming from the processor it may be a tad much for the hardware. Installed Lubuntu and is running well with no need to search for 3rd party drivers. Out of humility I mention that it took a bit to figure out the EFI side of things and making an EFI partition is necessary for the system to boot. Took be back to my first days of Linux and not understanding the swap partition. Like I said everything working well with real snappy response and would be a great word processor and internet browsing. Suppose I could have kept the Microsoft OS but I didn't test long enough to give any opinion towards its out of the box performance.
