Everything transferred by amazing Geek Squad staff (with a few changes), and the machine is doing great. Sometimes it takes awhile to load pictures, documents sent to me by others.

Poor Quality Trackpad

It was extremely loose and made a rattling sound even with the slightest touch, giving the device a very cheap feel. This was unacceptable, so I decided to return it and thankfully received a full refund. After researching online, I found that many people have had similar issues with the trackpad, particularly on the IdeaPad series. While everything else about the product seemed reasonable for the price range, this trackpad issue was a dealbreaker for me. I would recommend trying other brands if you're considering a laptop in this category.

Ok computer except for wi-fi shutting off daily

Seems to have major problems with the wi-fi adapter crashing almost every day and completely losing the internet connection. Sometimes it will reconnect after a minute and sometimes requires restarting the computer where the diagnostics say the network adapter isn't running. Haven't had that type of issue with computers before. Also still hard to get used to typing on this keyboard compared to others with the keys shifted to the left and spaced so close together compared to other computers. The trackpad is also sometimes tricky to use on here and be able to select text compared to the Chromebooks I have been using more recently.

We're sorry to hear that you're having this problem with your IdeaPad. To try to resolve this, first, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the network driver issues.
To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button. If you are switched out of Windows 11 Home in S mode, next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button. If you have not switched out of S mode, to get the latest Lenovo issued drive updates, you will have to obtain them from the Lenovo Support website due to S mode's security functions. Decent for price, but Wi-Fi turns off frequently

The not-so-good: While the specifications say the battery life is "(up to) 10 hours", I have never had it go for longer than two hours tops before it needs a charge. Also, as many others have noted - the Wi-Fi randomly shuts off quite often, and there seems to be no way to turn it back on without restarting the computer. At first I thought there was some 'wi-fi on/off' key I kept bumping accidentally, but it appears this is a common flaw with this computer.

To start with connectivity, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button and ensure all available updates are installed successfully.
With battery life, there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.
