Likes the touchscreen and ease of initial setup. Only minor complaints, keyboard not backlit, McAfee preinstalled is a no, but it included a Norton with lifelock free 6 months so she switched to it, touchpad is not great (bought a mouse and wireless keyboard anyway so no big deal. Overall a very good deal. If there was a way to do 4.5 stars, that would have been more accurate.

This is my first laptop I got it to replace my aging desk top pc. The battery is long lasting and charges fast. I am used to windows 10 so windows 11 takes a little getting used to. It was easy to get out of windows S mode and set up was easy. The 15" screen is clear and sharp, text is easy to read. Keys are not backlit but not an issue for me. I would recommend this laptop.

To start, there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.
Please let us know what else we can do to try to improve your experience, as your satisfaction is important to us.

The screen has the quality of an luxury flat screen TV, along with the touchscreen feature for extra convinience. It does comes with a lot of updates before and after starting up, but it is for smooth operations so you don't have to worry about freeze ups. Good thing I bought it on a sale price too. If anyone is on the hunt for a laptop for office work or basic photo editing, consider this one!

Great Laptop for my needs

The only reason I replaced the first one was that I can't upgrade to Windows 11 on it. For my use, this is ideal - recording recipes for a radio show, creating documents, e-mail, casual gaming, Community College use. I would definitely recommend it!

Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and will affect the device’s power output leading to improve battery consumption. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top of the right-hand of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
The IdeaPad 1i also comes with the ability to change the active performance profile based off of your needs. To start launch Lenovo Vantage, then select "Device settings" from menu located on the left of the display, then scroll down to "Power modes", from here you can select any of the modes based off your needs. We recommend Battery Saver/ Quiet Mode which will reduce battery consumption and reduce the fan noise when using the device.

reliable computer

My last computer was also a Lenovo so this was an upgrade. It was on sale and a real bargain. I will stick with this brand in the future. Great! Buy for what it is

It's not a gaming computer so don't expect that. The best thing you can do in my opinion is have your version of Linux put on it. I installed Linux mint and it's fantastic. Anything's better than microslop.

I don't do gaming. I just use it for the internet, email, Adobe documents, etc. I just needed to upgrade my old machine to Windows 11, so this definitely does the trick and is fast.
