This laptop is a good investment for myself as my other laptop had turned 5years old. This laptop is a nice weight and definitely portable. Compared to my other laptop, this one is super fast. I like there is virtually no lag and is quick in opening up. I like the speed of the processor and the screen is a good size. The colors are nice and the video is very nice. I would definitely recommend this laptop for a student and or for all of your needs.

This is my first touchscreen laptop with 8 gb of ram. Usually I am more drawn to budget friendly laptops but they’ve really never met my need when it comes to smooth internet browsing and multimedia applications. I was very fortunate finding this laptop, I had been in Sacramento for a medical appointment when I had the thought to check out there local Best Buy. After visiting the first Best Buy store and seeing what was available I was basically considering giving up, not that there weren’t many laptops to choose from I just was stuck between entry level laptops around 250$ or jumping up in the 600$ mark. Well later on that day I decided to give it one more shot seeing as though best buys in Sacramento were very plentiful. I happen to go in and speak with a bust buy associate and told him exactly what I was looking for, we had gone over all the options and agin I found myself in the position, I thanked him for his time and started to walk away. While I was leaving I glanced over one more time and saw this lenova idea pad. It wasn’t exactly screaming at be to buy it, but it definitely peaked my interested . I had never owned a touchscreen with I though was a really cool feature , I immediately jumped on to YouTube as we use this platform frequently at our house for cooking and DIY projects. The internet streamed flawlessly, the picture was very vivid for full hd and the general usability was great. I thought I found it, as an added bonus this laptop was marked down from 599$ to 320$ before tax. I’ve gone back and forth many times checking Best Buy since I’ve purchase to see if I could find anything I would like more and as of today I’ve finally giving up the search. This laptop is more then enough to fit our needs , it’s dose not have the largest screen , it’s not particularly the nicest color , but it functions beautifully and definitely stands out of the crowd as one of the best intermediate laptops in its class.im more then happy with my purchase .

Bought this laptop on sale for about $330.00 plus tax as a replacement for my 2015 HP laptop. Very pleased with its performance and value. Specifically, it boots up more quickly than any pc I’ve had going back to the late 90s desktops. It didn’t have any annoying software that pops up automatically and slows down operations. The screen displays clearly at multiple angles. My uses are very basic and since I don’t do gaming or significant video editing, I can’t attest good or bad as to processor speed, but it’s super for my needs. It doesn’t have a huge hard drive by today’s standards (700 GB maybe ?) so that’s something a potential buyer needs to consider. It’s usually plugged in to an AC outlet, but I have used it to stream video on battery power for over five hours no problem. The keyboard has a nice feel considering its thin design. It’s my first touchscreen laptop, which I only use occasionally as I prefer the mouse, but it does work well and is probably standard these days. I struggled a bit getting Windows 11 to organize folders and files in a way that makes sense to me and also utilizes the 5GB Microsoft OneDrive cloud storage for my most important files.

I recently purchased the Lenovo IdeaPad 1i 15.6" FHD Touchscreen Laptop, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my choice. This sleek device in Abyss Blue not only looks stunning but also delivers exceptional performance for its price point. The Intel Core i5 processor paired with 8GB of memory ensures smooth multitasking and quick responsiveness, whether I'm working on spreadsheets, browsing the web, or streaming videos. The 512GB SSD storage is a game-changer—it provides ample space for my files while significantly improving boot-up and load times. The 15.6" FHD touchscreen display is vibrant and clear, making it perfect for both work and entertainment. The touchscreen functionality is an added bonus, offering an intuitive and modern user experience. The laptop feels lightweight and portable, making it easy to carry to meetings or use on the go. Lenovo has done an excellent job balancing performance, design, and affordability with this model. Whether you're a student, professional, or just need a reliable laptop for daily use, the IdeaPad 1i is an outstanding choice. Overall, I am thrilled with this purchase, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality laptop without breaking the bank. As a long term mac user, this was a good laptop for when I needed one. A bit heavy for my taste, especially coming off of using macbook airs, but it was quick and had a good battery life, and did the job that I needed to for the couple weeks that I used it.

This laptop is frequently on sale for under $350 and is an amazing value. I've owned a number of laptops and too many desktops to remember. This is a winner. Processor, storage capacity, touch screen, are all high end in this price range. I added another 8 gb of matching-spec memory for under $20 once I got the laptop. It's a bit tricky getting the back off, but once off inserting the memory is very simple. Slight negatives are that keys aren't backlit and the display could be a bit brighter, but these aren't serious drawbacks. Battery life also isn't the best (4 or 5 hours), but I don't need more than that.

I really like the simplicity of this lenovo laptop. Its very easy to use, significantly lighter weight than both the macbook and the asus “thin and light” notebook (granted that one as a low power but still discrete GPU being a RTX 3050 and core ultra i7). I much prefer the numerical keypad on this lenovo compared to the asus as it is the correct layout and everywhere is where it should be. The keyboard on this one is also pretty good, I actually enjoy using the silent characteristics of this one compared to what I am used to. Long story short this laptop is just straight A, B to C. Work, surf, and some very light (old) gaming. Exactly what I was looking for in a budget SECONDARY laptop. I do think I am 75% on keeping this one and only about 50% on keeping the asus vivobook. I still have about 10 days left to decide but the more I use them separately, the more I want to prolong it. I need to get rid of one of these asap as that high credit utilization is not sitting well with me at all. Few minutes later after writing up above, I noticed the battery level is already at 51% remaining!? Again, disheartened as this is supposed to be a low power consuming i5 chip that is operating in balanced mode at this time and yet I haven’t done much on it except watch a 10 minute youtube video and type out the prior paragraph. I now put into question as to how the battery will hold up overtime since it has now been another 2 minutes and is now at 50% remaining. Current brightness setting is 75 and nothing else is going on in the background (music or downloads). Just 2 chrome tabs. Upon checking task manager, cpu usage is hovering around 5% - 19% with ram for some reason at 5.7GB in use out of 7.7GB available. It's brand new and it is already showing signs of longevity struggle - THAT or I’ve been spoiled with the insane battery life of the late 2023/early 2024 m3 pro macbook pro multi day battery life capabilities. Fug, now I’m going back to thoughts of just returning both laptops and sticking to the macbook. (another 3 minutes later, now at 48% battery life remaining). I am really trying to make this one the best chance, I ordered tools and an additional 8gb ram stick in order to double the speed / performance on this cheaper laptop. I am at 75% going to keep this one with the asus one is at a lower 50%. The battery on both still sucks though, it has the similar feeling that people have with an electric vehicle: range anxiety. If I'm knowingly going to be at a location that will allow me to use my laptop for over +3 hours, I will most likely bring the charger. 100% from about 30 minutes ago, and with 96% now remaining. ^ Went to do some stuff with the lid closed at 96%, battery life is now 92% and I have no idea why. Played for about 40 minutes and the remaining battery is now 54% at 60 brightness. 7:13pm Currently at 38% at 60 brightness. 10:58pm Using it most of the day, plugging in now at 5% battery remaining at 75 brightness. It has been decided, I am returning this thin and light notebook. The score I would give this one is a strong 7 out of 10. The only reason I am certain to return it is the fact that I actually found a better machine that was exactly at my maximum comfortable price point at $500. The new laptop I will be keeping is significantly better in both the CPU and GPU side of specifications along with a better DDR RAM set up. There were a few other great features that this other laptop in topic delivered where it would be insane for the same price as this still great machine. At $320 brand new, I don’t even regret my time with this Lenovo Ideapad 1i. It’s easily my 2nd pic after the 10 days of testing that I’ve been doing with the 3 laptops that were in my possession. Even as I type on this keyboard, it brings back reminders on how much I was impressed for what I am getting for the money spent. If the HP Victus proves me wrong in terms of its reliability and capability I have absolutely no doubt this specific Lenovo will be what I will go for almost immediately. It is bitter sweet but knowing that a really good budget windows laptop exists for future consideration makes me feel confident in my decision for the time being. Returned as of 3/4/25
