This laptop is a great size. It seems to handle games fairly well and other tasks. The main issue I had is that it overheats and gets really hot. Other than that it’s a decent laptop. The battery life while gaming is not good also.

Hey, Liam, we are sorry to hear that you encountered an issue with your Slim Pro 7. Regarding the heat produced, this Slim Pro 7 features an active cooling system, along with other components and software, enabling the user to power through work without throttling due to heat produced. We recommend that the bottom of the device, where the air intake vents are, is clear of obstructions to increase air flow. Additionally, most Lenovo laptops have a feature called Smart Control, enabling the user to use the key command combination of Fn + Q to toggle between thermal/performance mode. For instances where you may use the device in your lap, we recommend switching to cool or quiet mode to help with the heat felt on the bottom of the machine. Also, please check for and apply any available updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings to help ensure you are using the latest software and drivers to maintain device health. Should your issue persist after these fixes, we recommend reaching out to Lenovo Tech Support and providing a representative with details of your issue, so that they may help by providing a solution for you. Here is a phone number to speak with a tech support representative to further resolve your issue: 877-453-6686. We appreciate you sharing your experience so that we may use it to continue to better our products and services for yourself and others. Lenovo

Quality of the body wasn't so good.. We did return it as when on a flat surface, as a table it was uneven and did seem like the all bottom/keyboard part was a bit twisted.

I bought this machine about 2 months ago, and already having issues. The machine currently won't boot up because the default boot device failed. This is extremely annoying and inconvenient. Only bought this laptop for work purposes, but will never buy another Windows machine again. The build quality overall feels cheap and the track mouse pad is garbage. My 10 year old macbook pro operates better than this machine.

    Disappointing Battery Life

I purchased this laptop this week with high hopes for its battery life. However, I am extremely disappointed that it only lasts 3-4 hours on a full charge. This limited performance severely affects my productivity and mobility, forcing me to constantly search for power outlets. The manufacturer's claims of exceptional battery life do not align with the reality of my experience. If you want a portable laptop, don't waste money on this.

    Strong choice for a laptop

The Lenovo Slim 7 Pro is a great option to pick. It has a great balance of portability, performance, and longevity. I tested it's charge at 75% brightness with a couple apps running while surfing the web and it lasted me a good while with some power left over. Going through a day with medium to light usage will make it last the whole day. When plugged in for gaming, it's 16 gb of RAM and graphics card make it great for medium settings on modern games and great for use on recording and video editing. I highly reccomend this laptop for its balance, and when it's on sale, it's basically a steal for what it offers when compared to other computers like the Macbook Air. I do think it's important buying a USB hub, a micro SD card reader, and a power bank to add more usage out of the laptop.

    Insane value

For anyone on the fence about this computer, just buy it. I got it on sale for around $1000 and could not be happier about it. I was concerned about heating issues with this chassis, but so far (other than one encounter with windows standby) I've had no issues. The screen is great, the trackpad is a little clicky but also still great, and the keyboard has more travel because it isn't a 2 in 1, making it one of my favorite "yoga" keyboards. I can run mildly heavy games life Raft or Outer Wilds at 60fps with moderate graphic settings, which leaps and bounds above what my previous laptop could do. It also has a 90hz feature if you're into that. For indie games or Minecraft, programming, and every day use, this thing is perfect. My only complaints about this device are small and nitpicky. It has lights on the CapsLk, Esc, and Mute Mic buttons to let the user know if they are activated, but not the Mute Sound button?? Also there are very few ports, including only one usb-a port and charging usb-cs only on one side, so you'll probably need a hub or docking station. The glare on the glossy screen can be annoying in light rooms. Who's idea was it to put the power button on the side of the computer?? Half the time I pick the laptop up I turn it off by accidentally hitting it. My biggest complaint though, is that Windows 11 SUCKS. If I could get a computer with a Windows 10 downgrade I'd take it any day. All my issues have been led back to Windows 11 and I hate it. That said, I've been really happy with this device and highly recommend it. even at $1,200 it's a great bang for the buck.

    Open box is spectacular value

Solid laptop and a spectacular open box price. (Seemed brand new except for missing the charger, but charges just fine with a generic 100W charger.) Battery is nowhere near claimed life if you are doing more than typing on a dark screen, but streams HD video on full brightness for about 4 hours. Haven't used it for any high end gaming. A bit of typical Lenovo bloatware, but better than most brands and easy to remove. New laptop keyboards always take awhile to adjust to. Slightly more key travel but slightly tighter key spacing than our other Lenovos. Seems solidly built. Screen quality is good (not great by modern standards, but we don't need great for anything), sound quality is typical for this class. (Why does no one make a laptop that can actually get loud enough for everyone to hear it on a video chat?) I do wish it had a fingerprint sensor, which I prefer to face unlock for a variety of reasons. I also don't love side-mounted power keys.

This laptop was good when i bought it great and all but 4 months later it starts having stutter freezes during videos and also lost its ability to connect to internet once and i had to restart my laptop in order to get it to work. This also sorta scams you if you buy it in person since it says its a 3050 graphics card but its actually less than a 1080 only having 6gb of GPU ram. The laptop is good for casual use but you'll start to see some stutters later in video games. Also its okay to buy a bit of a thicker laptop if you want to futureproof since this laptop doesn't give you that option with soldered ram which sets a barrier for futureproofing.
