A: I've never seen the value in having a 2 in 1, it feels more like a gimmick that I'll only use once or twice. That said, this is my second laptop I've used with a touch screen and I can't go back. The touch screen is way faster when you have the laptop on your lap, not to mention it's really helpful when you're helping someone else with their computer. Multiple times I've been sitting next to my mom with her Mac, trying to show her how to get to something, and tapped on the screen forgetting that it isn't touch. It's a really small feature for lazy people, but I think really useful regardless of whether or not it's a 2 in 1.
Q: Does it have an extra M.2 slot? If not then will I have to buy a windows key if I replace the SSD?
A: Unsure about the second m.2 slot but you can use the same windows licence that the laptop is supplied with to activate windows on your new drive. You’ll just need to find the product key, it’ll be on the underside of the laptop or there’s a command line code you can run to locate your product key.
Q: Can the hard drive be upgraded? If so, what is the maximum storage?
A: The Solid State Drive can be upgraded. It comes with a 512GB but it can be upgraded to 2TB I believe.
Q: Does it have 4gb or 6gb of VRAM?
A: 6 gigs
A: Yes you can. I currently use it with a 100W USB-C charger. It even works with my 65W charger. Looking at the discharge stats, while just browsing it is discharging at ~10W (per hour),
Q: What stylus pen is it compatible?
A: I made the mistake yesterday buying a well-known brand of stylus pen along with my purchase of the Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14". The stylus pen doesn't work. In fact, there are NO stylus pens on the market per the Lenovo website that are compatible with this laptop. Looks like we are out of luck.
Q: I was just wondering if the battery life is good on this laptop?
A: The battery life is very good and it matches the specs
Q: how long should i generally game on it for
A: If you leave fps uncapped and let the 3050 run at 100% it will get very hot to a point where I don't feel safe running it like that for more than 5 minutes. Cooling system was definitely not meant to handle full blast. Capping games so gpu util is at 80% has been warm but definitely okay on the system, and fps is decent.
