    Open box is spectacular value

Solid laptop and a spectacular open box price. (Seemed brand new except for missing the charger, but charges just fine with a generic 100W charger.) Battery is nowhere near claimed life if you are doing more than typing on a dark screen, but streams HD video on full brightness for about 4 hours. Haven't used it for any high end gaming. A bit of typical Lenovo bloatware, but better than most brands and easy to remove. New laptop keyboards always take awhile to adjust to. Slightly more key travel but slightly tighter key spacing than our other Lenovos. Seems solidly built. Screen quality is good (not great by modern standards, but we don't need great for anything), sound quality is typical for this class. (Why does no one make a laptop that can actually get loud enough for everyone to hear it on a video chat?) I do wish it had a fingerprint sensor, which I prefer to face unlock for a variety of reasons. I also don't love side-mounted power keys.

This laptop was good when i bought it great and all but 4 months later it starts having stutter freezes during videos and also lost its ability to connect to internet once and i had to restart my laptop in order to get it to work. This also sorta scams you if you buy it in person since it says its a 3050 graphics card but its actually less than a 1080 only having 6gb of GPU ram. The laptop is good for casual use but you'll start to see some stutters later in video games. Also its okay to buy a bit of a thicker laptop if you want to futureproof since this laptop doesn't give you that option with soldered ram which sets a barrier for futureproofing.

Great screen, pretty good speakers and is faster than my mom's fancier computer. It can run pretty much any game I want it to.

I bought it from Lenovo's website and picked it up from Bestbuy the same day. Pretty cool that you can do that. I first bought a Dell XPS 13 plus. That thing was cool but the trackpad died after TWO weeks. Dell laptops always act up. So I returned that and bought this instead. SO much better this thing is!! The screen is a bit dim at times and I'm not a huge fan of the glossy screen but those are minor. Just so you know, this laptop doesn't have thunderbolt (as that is an intel/apple only thing) BUT and this is a big but, it has USB4 which is basically the open sourced version of thunderbolt. This USB4 port is the faster 40gbit port too which is nice. I use mine docked on my thunderbolt 3 dock without issue. It has some problems waking from sleep but thats USB4 being new not the laptops fault. The laptop has a LOT of power for its size and price. The 3050 6gb isn't going to blow you away but it can game without issue. I can play the newest Halo at medium settings 1440p at 95fps, that's hard to complain about. Overall, I really like this laptop. Its great value. I would highly recommend you buy it if you're in the market.

Purchased this laptop specifically to run think or swim desktop and haven’t had any issue yet . I just purchased an external monitor so we will see but so far I have been running 4 separate windows in thinkorswim desktop running 4 charts on each window without any lag . Not sure if this helps because I’m not too tech savvy but it seems like a true bang for the buck so far .

Had to return! Common TRACKPAD issue

    Posted .

This Slim Pro 7 14" is beautiful, slim, light and feels well built with aluminum casing unlike many laptops with hard plastic casing. I don't need latest specs for what i need it for (not for gaming), the screen is really nice (reflective, which i prefer for more vibrant colors. I don't like the ones with anti=reflective), it is touchscreen. It has all the things i was looking for paired with a sale price of 899. BUT: The TRACKPAD! It seemed not properly placed or screwed under. Every time you lightly tap (as you would normally), the track pad makes that irritating tapping noise. The only "tight" area is the upper left. I searched online and apparently it is a common thing for some Lenovo models. I went back to BB and returned it, unfortunately. I checked Lenovo's LOQ model and its track pad doesn't make such tapping/loose noise. Can't say much about battery life, or speed... I didn't even get that far. BB staff processed my return smoothly and gave some suggestions as well.

I love how fast the computer is and how portable it is. I love the way the keyboard feels and sounds. I will say that the bottom of my laptop the grippy thing kinda tore off a little at the end despite only having the computer for a little while, but I do think it was my clumsiness rather than the computer's quality

I bought this laptop for my job, and it's more than sufficient for that. It can pretty much run anything you throw at it. It even has the ability to run as a gaming laptop for you. I think for the regular person this laptop is more than you'd ever need. Highly recommend.

We purchased this Lenovo laptop for our granddaughter's graduation based on the positive experience we have had with our own Lenovo. Our granddaughter loves it and it will be perfect for her upcoming college studies. Best Buy's service, as always, was excellent and comprehensive. Very satisfied.
