Very thin and light ultrabook
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice unit but CPU is somewhat underpowered. Screen resolution is excellent and it has a unique, well-built hinge. Running Windows 10 on it without any problems.

Lenovo Yoga 2 13.3 inch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After many years of Lenovo, I switched to Dell and now decided to give Lenovo a try again. The keyboard quit popping up in tablet mode during the first week. Online Geek Squad fixed it but the problem returned a day later. Also, the Touchpad left click button sticks and will drive you crazy. I finally took it into Best Buy in Colorado Springs. The on site Geek Squad member couldn't fix the keyboard issue unless I "left it with him for a couple of days. Then, to fix the touchpad he "needed to ship it off to the service center". This is my work PC and even if I could let it ship off, I would first need to remove a lot of sensitive data. I had only had the new device for about a month and even if they can fix it, I need to transfer data to another device and then hop it can be fixed. At least when I had Dell, they would send a tech to my location and fix it on the spot

Poor performance. Slowest computer on the market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this machine for work a month ago at best buy. I fell in love with the light weight and the pretty display and went ahead and bought it. Since the first day I realized it was incredibly slow. I wanted to return it but had to travel for work and now I have to keep it. It does the trick if you are a student who only uses word and chrome, but if you like to switch between programs and tabs at a decent speed and like to see things fast this computer sucks. I really wouldn't recommend it. I realize this is a very slim laptop, thus it may require not so robust components but this is when having a light computer becomes a problem. I wish I could go back to my 10 pound computer that was fast. On the brighter side, the 2 in 1 is great. The touchpad is really precise! The display is amazing. Speakers not so good but no big deal. The keyboard... not my favorite. I used to only buy lenovo because of the keyboard but this one in particular it's not so good either. I certainly recommend other lenovo laptops and still think lenovo is great, but this computer in particular was a very poor choice on my end. good luck

Loved it, but hard drive crashed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. I loved my Lenovo laptop that I got for my personal business. However, after it deleted all of my tax return information and my audit information and the documents I worked three months writing I am not a fan. There’s no way the hard drive should’ve crashed

The Yoga 3 Pro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lenovo is known for making quality products. When it comes to the Yoga 3 Pro this quality comes shining through. You can use it in four different modes: as a laptop, a tablet, in tent mode, or standing. The new Intel M processor delivers more than enough power to run the Yoga. The eight gigs of RAM are more than enough to keep things moving smoothly. I haven’t yet found an application that this great system couldn't run. The system comes with a SSD. The SSD in the system I got is 256 gigs, but the go up to 512 gigs. As a laptop it is more than comfortable to use. I love the backlit keyboard and the feel of it. The size of the keys are almost identical to those found on a standard keyboard. As a tablet you couldn't ask for more. It rotates to the position that you are using it in. To turn the laptop in to a tablet all you do is take the unit and fold it back. It will fold perfectly flat when you push the monitor backwards. The hinge for that is made of over 800 individual watchband type links... something that I have never seen before. It's very responsive and easy to use. There are two more modes you can use on this wonderful system with: tent mode and standing mode. In tent mode it sits just as the word implies, like a tent with the screen facing you . I can see this would be very handy for watching Netflix and the like. It also allows the system to run cool in this position. Standing mode, allows you to stand the system from a desk, table etc. another position that would be great for viewing movies. Esthetically this is gorgeous...a beautiful Clementine Orange sets this off from all other Ultrabooks and is a real eye catcher for sure. The watchband hinge is the icing on the cake. Over 800 individual links make this machine as flexible as a Ultrabook could be. I haven't had the system long enough to make any comment(s) about the battery. At this point the battery life seems correct for a system like this. This system comes with Windows 8.1 and is fully touch capable, a feature that I really like. If you're looking for a very good Ultrabook, look no further.... this is the one you want. #LenovoIN

Great easy to customize
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great computer. Extremely light weight!!! It's a laptop and soooo amazing how thin, light and powerful. Yeah not a super fast processor but it's great! I didn't think a computer with this speed would be this fast. I can customize the battery usage, I can speed up the computer with just a click of the button and the other built in tools are wonderful, not to mention the computers fan is extremely quiet. I installed several large programs like visual studio and Photoshop they work just great for my job. I have seen tons of reviews for the surface and this one and I have got to say I am extremely impressed with my choice.

Surprising bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't wait for the Yoga 3 Pro to be released and I had very high expectations based upon the pre-release press, unfortunately it my experience with this ultrabook 2-in-1 was less than stellar. Lets start with what's good. The computer is light and thin and the new hinge works fine. The keyboard is slightly improved over the Yoga 2 Pro which is very good. The display is sharp but not as bright as I would have expected. Now the killer - the performance is bad - really bad. Why? it appears to be the design around the processor. The CPU runs hot from the start and severely throttles the CPU clock speed. The fan runs non-stop in an attempt to cool it down. If you're just browsing the web and reading emails then the Yoga 3 Pro may be fine however for any computing that requires some moderate to high cpu power this unit will struggle. I was also disappointed with the battery life. I expected 9+ hours but only got 6.5. Hopefully Lenovo and Intel will release firmware updates to improve the performance and battery issues but for now you might want to look elsewhere.

Be prepared
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited to get this laptop. I did a good amount of research and the yoga beat out the surface for my needs. Once my yoga was delivered today it was aesthetically all that I expected. Thing is beautiful. But the touchscreen doesn't work...at all. Went through Lenovo tech support..geek squad.. all suggested to uninstall HID devices but no luck. And I'm not the only one. Google yoga touch screen not working. It's been an issue with Lenovo since their first model. Wish I didn't miss this in my research. I guess it's hit or miss, the laptop is getting great reviews. Returning tomorrow and hopefully my new shipped yoga works as expected. FYI and good luck!

Not impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my MBA program. I needed a powerful, small, light laptop or 2 in 1, and decided on the Yoga 3. I will be returning the machine. The touchpad is awful. Most of the time, it skips around making it difficult to accurately click on anything. I usually have to just use the touchscreen instead of the track pad. The screen looks amazing, but the laptop is slow, and struggles when there are more than about three applications open at a time. Another design flaw is to have the power button on the side of the laptop. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to pick up the laptop and accidentally turned off the machine because of the power button placement. I think I'm going to go with the HP Spectre to take advantage of the I-7, but I'm undecided at this point.

Solid device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lenovo has shown significant improvement with the Yoga. I wasn't a big fan of its predecessor but this brings it inline with the Carbon X1 in look, feel and functionality. It's an ultrabook plus and I wouldn't be comfortable using it as just a tablet compared to the SP3 but definitely a nice device if you need/use the keyboard full time.

Do NOT Buy!!! Power Cord is a catrosphic failure!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please save your money and preserve your sanity by not buying this computer. The power cord is a USB cord design and is not universal so when I left it in class 1.5 hrs from my house on a Friday I could not purchase a replacement anywhere and I desperately needed to use my computer over the weekend but was out of luck. the cord design is more than an inconvenience. The power cord and battery are HORRIFIC!!!! I spend at least 15-20 min daily trying to find outlets that I can get to charge my battery. I have played around with the adapter in different positions and have to verify the charge symbol is on in order for my computer to charge. Also, do not let the battery drain. You will have to blindly play with the adapter praying to see the orange light appear on the side to verify that the computer is charging and then you will have to wait 2hrs for your computer to turn back on if you can actually get it to charge. This problem is mayor for me being that there are no outlets in my office that I can manipulate to charge my computer. I have 1 outlet at home that I can plug my computer and get it to charge because there is a futon in front of the adapter keeping it in place in the wall. I so wish I could return this ridiculous laptop and Best buy should really help inform potential buyers of this problem!

Playing video content is a challenge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Yoga 3 Pro is a great looking, ultra-light notebook. unfortunately it cannot play video content from any of the websites I have visited correctly, the Weather channel for one (simple video, right?) Not even full screen content and the laptop chokes and stutters. Sorry Lenovo but please bring back the Yoga Pro 2 which out performed this by far. Fail.....

I Really Wanted To Love This Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am going to be a college freshman, so I was looking for a good laptop to last me all 4 years of college. I had read countless reviews and watched many videos about this laptop, and even tried it in-store, and I decided to purchase it. From the moment I took it out of the package, I knew I didn't like it. The keys lagged when I typed, the mousepad left all sorts of marks, and the battery power was horrendous. Just from surfing the web and watching a little youtube, I got maybe 4-5 hours tops of battery life, which will definitely not work for a (college) student. I loved the idea of this laptop, but it was just a huge miss for me, so I returned it and got a surface pro 3 instead.

Good looking, but serious problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using laptop about one month and problems really started right after 15 days return time expired. Biggest issue is that device will randomly and totally freeze and only way around is to do force reboot. this makes laptop unusable to do anything important, which is not acceptable for such expensive device. I cannot recommend this laptop until Lenovo comes up with solution to this problem, which seems to be widespread.

Excellent Machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great in all configurations. Easy set up and log into my home wi-fi. Purchased a four port USB-3 dongle to plug into one of the USB-3 ports for more USB accessory use. Extremely fast on/off times as well as document or internet speeds. Battery life has been good as well, but I don't use it for business purposes. Works great with either a blue-tooth or standard USB wi-fi mouse.

Dropped wireless, poor shipping protection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this through best buy online. It is a great looking computer, super lightweight and the new hinge design seems very sturdy. We are longtime Lenovo customers and have owned 4 Thinkpads in the past 9 years, so I thought I might try out a tablet/touchscreen design. Unfortunately this one had to be returned because of some major issues which made it unusable. First, it constantly drops its wireless signal, even in our home where three other (older) computers and my son's tablet have no trouble holding a strong connection. One floor away from our wireless router the signal dropped to half or less on this Yoga, and cut out every 10 minutes or so. Second, when running on battery alone, at about 50% power the screen output began flickering as if it were experiencing a power drop and then a surge, over and over. The screen image also moved from side to side and flashed. This was not intermittent, it was constant, and it looked like it was being shaken, hard. Plugging in the computer resolved it, but this meant it was not possible to use the battery alone. Third, when adjusting screen resolution to increase text size, not all apps modify accordingly, and some seemed to decrease proportionally. So, although some apps enlarged to the size I needed, another sign in page became so tiny it was nearly impossible to use. This was very strange, and it happened repeatedly with multiple programs. There did not seem to be any way to increase resolution/viewing size for the entire computer at once. This was mentioned in a few other reviews I read, but I thought it likely was fixable in Settings. I could not find a way to do it. Finally, I was surprised when the computer was delivered by Best Buy that it was packaged only in its manufacturer’s display box about 2” deep (but otherwise pretty much the size of the computer + a quarter inch all around the edge). This box was then put into a Tyvek-type envelope, and that was the extent of the packaging. There was no additional padding, nor a larger outside box. Considering what it cost, that’s surprisingly poor shipping protection. I really had high hopes for this computer, especially since the $1000 price seemed great for a Lenovo product. It is supposed to be the best they have to offer in a convertible tablet. If you get one that works as intended, maybe. This one didn't make the grade.
